This is our third time using Carson Dunlop for a house inspection since 1992.

Each experience has been professional & informative. The inspectors took the time to ensure we understood the process answering any questions thoroughly (David Frost '92 & '04; Walter Collodel '25).

As our most recent inspection was on a rural property, we purchased the most comprehensive package including thermal imaging. We were not disappointed with this choice.

During this inspection, Walter Collodel ensured that our many questions & concerns were addressed. He was patient, good-humoured, thorough & professional. It was an amiable & informative afternoon spent with Walter.

Thorough and explained a lot of stuff to me throughout the process!

Everything about this service was helpful for my husband and I. We appreciated having things explained carefully to us and being sure we understand costs and figures associated with all issues identified. The report we received was also incredibly detailed with clear pictures, meaning we didn't need to try to memorize the facts we'd been given on our inspection day. Paul was on time and very friendly. He had to work in a messy environment outside due to basement waterproofing and didn’t track mud through the house. Which was greatly appreciated. He was there for the time allotted and sent a very thorough inspection report when completed.

Hal was a great resource to provide a meticulous report. He also took the time to explain things in layman's terms so that we understood the inner workings. It was especially important to us since our house is quite large and wanted a very detailed analysis which he provided in spades.
Prior to that our interaction with Marc De Guzman at head office was excellent. He went above and beyond to connect us with the right inspector to meet our needs.

Thoroughness; and our inspector was fantastic.

Being first time home buyers, we left the home inspection feeling a lot more educated on what needs work on our new home and what maintenance we'll be needing soon. Josh was knowledgeable, methodical, and very patient with our questions. With Josh's report our realtor was able to negotiate a lower closing price to help offset the issues we didn't see at our first viewing. We're looking forward to our "welcome home" visit from Carson Dunlop to set help us plan our repair/maintenance expenses for the next few years. Definitely happy we went with the top package, and will do it again if we ever move.
