Lots of new gym equipment and great hours. This is a great location for teens to stay active and healthy.
My son just started swim lessons at the Y this past Sunday. The instructor was great and the pool facility was clean and well kempt. My only complaint is that there was no signage on the wall for the parent/child meeting spot so it was hard to know where to go our first time. The other groups all had signs on the wall in the pool area.

I love, love the ballroom line dancing class in Melrose, and I love the variety of zumba classes available.

I'm loving Nicole Wade's Menopause Fitness and the varied Pilates offerings at the Y. I'm also working with Lauren Sanford as a trainer on Thursday mornings, and she's been a dream to work with. She's incredibly supportive, tailors the movement in our sessions to my goals, and she keeps everything in good form, safe, and fun.

The weight rooms sometimes get too crowded, unfortunately. There could be a way to schedule certain age groups to certain days/time.
Group activities are great, it would be nice to have larger variety of instructors.
Some machines are duplicates in the weight room and also they're not being used as much. Their floor space can be used for other, more popular machines.
Some machines are biomechanically not that great (in the sense that they don't fit human movements).
i don't participate in programs or activities.
In the past I did the water excercise classes. the teacher was excellent. I now mainly use the gym for the treadmill and bikes.
I am loving all the classes I take with Veronica! She is amazing. I've always loved group exercise programs and she is top tier. Her taste in music is an added bonus!
I love Melrose Y, But, having to remember to register for class becomes another chore.
How can I be Regular attendee? I keep getting wait listed.
Many activities you can drop in included in the membership. For all levels , they always have good instructor.
