I love it. Friendly staff, great environment and I like the new equipment except one thing.. the machine for the calf in not there because of course they replace it for the new one but I am not a tall person and the new one I can not use it because of my height.. I miss the other one because it was great for all type of height. I heard from ladies that are also about my height they cant use it either because of that. I hope we can have one we can use. Other than that everything is great!

Most of the activites

Everything is wonderful- from workout equipment to youth sports. But the reason we switched to Whitaker from Beaumont was the childcare staff. The Hamburg/Whitaker childcare staff is INCREDIBLE and we feel far more comfortable leaving our kids with them than the weekday morning Beaumont childcare staff.

The pool and jacuzzi are fantastic.

Classes are fun, the instructors are extremely helpful. If you are unable to do certain moves they offer alternatives which is super helpful for me. I’ve met several people in my classes which motivates me to be there The new machines in the main workout room are great.

The group fitness classes and pool/swimming lessons! Love High Fitness and LIFT! The instructors are so great.

I wish there was a 8:30 or 9:30 yoga class on Thursday mornings. And of course, we’d love an outdoor pool in addition to the splash pad at Whitaker!

Love Pilates with Kara, wish there were more early morning, evening or weekend options for those of us who work during the day. Or a small group option for those who are probably past the level one restart each session but aren’t quite level 2.

In general the staff is pleasant, the facility is clean and the equipment is well maintained.

Whether you are just starting a fitness program or are a seasoned athlete, the staff at Whitaker YMCA can help you with your training program. They can recommend the proper exercises for each individual so that they stay injury free and progress in their training program. Another highlight you will recognize immediately as you enter the Whitaker YMCA is how clean and sanitary the facility is. Excellent facility overall.

I absolutely love the Y! I’ve made so many friends from the group exercises. Everyone is so welcoming, loving, helpful and never judgy. It’s always scary to start a new gym for tons of reasons. The Y makes it feel like home so there is nothing to be scared of. I tell everyone how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE it there.
