Terminix is the only service of its kind that I have ever used. And I "inherited" that value from my mother whom felt the same way. Terminix took care of her home until she passed away at 97. They have taken care of all of my homes and will continue to do so.
The service is impeccable. The staff are friendly but always very professional. They are highly knowledgeable in their field and pass that knowledge on to me by answering all of my questions. I have a yearly contract for inspection and one for quarterly treatment.
I have pets and feed birds and squirrels, and they have not been affected negatively. I'm not a fan of bugs, they creep me out, so I use this service and don't have to deal with the common "Palmetto" bugs and the like that are so common in the humid, hot south!
