Nice clean gym. Plenty of equipment. A bit crowded
Wonderful facility to meet the needs of the entire family.
I like the knowledgeable instructors and classes for seniors.
I love Ymca when my kids were younger. Take them to YMCA they had all kind of activity for the kids and adults.💕
Variety of group classes and classes offered on different days and times.
I only go to the group classes. I really enjoy the selection of classes and the instructors or friendly and knowledgeable.
Cleanliness and organisation
The instructors are awesome!
There are programs fit for all age groups. Friendly and supportive staff. An environment to get healthy with happiness guaranteed.
You have so many activities to chose from. Great machines . PEOPLE ARE VERY KIND.
I love aquacise. It is my favorite class. Candice definitely keeps us on our feet!
It great to lift weights. You’re very accommodating to the handicapped.
I like the variety of fun, challenging classes offered.
I have damaged knees so water aerobics is best for me. I really like Candice and Bethany who are the instructors. I wish you had a deep water aerobics on Friday mornings besides T, W, & Th. I have a conflict with Tuesday mornings. That leaves me with only 2 days to work out.
Before I tore the meniscus in my knee, I enjoyed the other classes in the rooms. I did a variety of them over the years.
Friendly staff Professional couches I like every one Thank you for all what you do for people Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 🙏🎆🎇❤️
I like the friendy instructors & that it's near my office & home.
I wish there were more classes offered between 3 and 6 daily...it would make it more convenient to work out before dinner & still get home with time to make dinner & eat prior to bed time.
Love taking kids swimming
It’s easy to get to. Would like more times for water exercises for us non early bird
Overall, our family really enjoys the Armbrust YMCA. We mainly utilize the pool and swimming lessons, but appreciate the ability to use a variety of equipment and space like basketball courts. The staff are all VERY friendly and greet people as they come into the building and leave.
One issue I do have relates to the pool area. Some times the lifeguard is late or does not show up to open the pool in the morning. In these cases I have to call the front desk to inquire, but I think there should be a protocol to notify people in locker rooms waiting if the life guard is running late or a no-show. Perhaps have a system if the lights are off 10 minutes to open then call that guard or have a backup ready. Then alert those waiting in the locker room of the situation at least.
I also am frustrated by the lack of enforcement related to lap lanes. With only three lanes they are often shared with 2 people, which is okay so long as those in the lanes are swimming laps (freestyle, breast stroke, back stroke, etc). Most mornings the lanes are occupied with one or more persons stationary, just wading in the deep end. Or perhaps moving from one end of the lane to the next but doing so with dumbbells. These people should be notified with signage, emails and by the lifeguard that the designated area to water walk or wade is near the slide, outside of the lanes. Swimmers doing laps should not have to wait because a spot in the lanes is occupied by someone not actively swimming, especially when there is a large designated area to water walk / wade. Obviously if the lanes aren't busy it's okay, but most mornings this is not the case yet no one reminds members of the rules or enforces rule breakers.
I think addressing these inconveniences can really improve the Y for all members and make sure everyone has a chance to utilize the space as intended. Thank you!
I don't really participate in your 'programs' or 'activities' but, I do use the facility (aerobic and anaerobic exercise areas and pool). Two of the most important, and well done (in my opinion) things related to all of this are: 1) cleanliness/tidiness - frequent cleaning and tidying is important (to me). I almost never see towels or garbage overflowing in the locker room. I almost never see a machine that's not clean and ready to go. I very much appreciate this--it's clear that your staff has pride in the Armbrust facility and the way that it is maintained. 2) schedules - it is important to me to know that your schedules (especially the pool) are up-to-date, accurate, and maintained. I regularly check the pool schedule to make sure that the lap lanes are open and that my planned swimming routine will work. I've never been disappointed. Someone at your facility seems to be fastidious about this and I am grateful. Finally, I'd like to offer one area that could be looked into: Paint on the outside of the facility, especially at the front entrance. Take a fresh look at the building's exterior and see if you agree that it might be time for a fresh coat of paint, or perhaps a touch up or two. I hope that this is helpful. Overall, I am very satisfied with the facility, staff, and all-things Armbrust. Keep up the good work. Tony Last name removed

The instructor is welcoming & they do a good job of keeping us moving
The avalabilty of the machines and the fact theplace is clean.
An established sense of belonging, care, and family make this YMCA stand out from others. Keep up the amazing work!
Love that you added Pickleball during the week for seniors. Thanks.
I wish you had senior activities earlier in the day, like 7:00am or 8:00am.
I come to the chair yoga class twice a week. Have several different instructors , that way we get different exercises each time. I have occasionally used the work-out machine. Theres so many different ones to choose from too.

The pool hours are much more available than any other location in Omaha. We’ll drive past 2 YMCA’s that are closer to our house to just to go to Armbrust where the pool hours are so much later so we can have more time together.
