I love access. I love the people that greet you when you come in I love that my sons feel at home when they’re there, and I also love that they’re having swimming lessons in the inner city.
The best part about the the Y that I love is the group classes the instructors are energetic and kind.😀
I attend the water exercise class and AOA class on occasion. Marieta is so energetic and it motivates me to push myself. The locker room cleanliness has improved since the sewer flies were eliminated.

I love the people of the Y. From the folks at the front desk to course instructors I have been consistently impressed by the warmth and professionalism of everyone that I've encountered. The only downside is the obvious one: parking.

The staff are friendly, the facility is clean, the lifeguards show up for their shifts, the facility is not overcrowded. I couldn’t recommend this location more.

I love the Y and the community it brings. The facility is well run and always so clean.
I would love these additions;
Extra programing during DPSCD breaks, open rock climb, open swim, or other extra activities for kids
I would also appreciate some programing for "second shift" working adults! I would totally take a 10am yoga or dance class during the week! People in the service industry, hospitality, and health care have a wide range of schedules, I think you would find interest in late morning classes for non-seniors.

I love coming to the Y, I really feel like I'm part of a community and that by being a member, I'm also giving back to Detroit and other members.
Facilities: beautiful building, clean, variety of equipment, and a separate lap pool from the family pool, and lower pool temperature! Keep it low or lower it more!
Very nice & clean facility good area.
I love having a facility in the heart of downtown and love being able to explore the surrounding area. I love the class offerings although I wish there were more afternoon classes available. Mornings and evenings can be hard bc of my unique work schedule, so my membership often goes to waste unless I can make a Saturday class. The instructors are always amazing and the facility is beautiful. Hoping I can visit more often this year!
The Downtown Y is a great facility. Clean and well maintained. Staff is great. Overall it is a phenomenal value and the community is amazing. It's busy but never struggle to get in a good sweat whether it's swimming, running on the track, or lifting weights. Can't beat the location!

I love the Active Oldet Adults class. The instructors are attentive to our needs; they take time to give individuals any extra help or instructions as necessary. Marietta and Vernice have created a healthy, caring, friendly environment.

I love the equipment and that it’s mostly not too busy. It’s also very close to my apartment.

The group adult classes are fantastic! Would like more 6:15 AM or 7 AM classes. The coat racks could be dusted more frequently.
I love the friendly atmosphere and staff at the Boll Family YMCA the most. The variety of activities available is great also.
