Teachers are patient and knowledgeable. They make the young swimmer feel safe in the water.
Engaging and well-trained wellness staff. Great yoga, barre, and group weight training classes. Better informed instructors. You will see results in strength, fitness and flexibility at the Y. Better than the results you might see at other "high end" clubs. Yeah. Really.
Our teachers for chair yoga and the senior exercise class that follows on Tuesday and Thursday mornings are exceptional. My docs love what I am doing and I have learned so much . Many of the exercises we have done and are doing are featured on social media and magazines as particularly helpful to keep us seniors healthy. I hope that when NEXT takes over, they will partner with United Healthcare, Blue Cross, Silver Sneakers, and other health care services to pay for these programs and others.
The pool is well maintained. The lifeguards are super professional and friendly. I mainly joined for the water and this is great!
Love it. It’s great. And staff is very helpful and friendly.
Would be great if they opened earlier. I think there is a lot of demand to give people a place to exercise earlier in the morning. Even a 15 or 30 minute earlier opening time would make a huge difference.
I've made a lot of new friends, the staff is very nice and helpful, the classes are great, the availability of the pool is wonderful, and the equipment is very good as well.

Workout is great. I wish they offered Barre at south Oakland as well. Love the instructor and room is perfect for barre.

Have already told friends. Less expensive than Bloomfield Twp. Facility. Flavia an excellent trainer.
The coach is good
Love it. Great leadership as far as customer service. They accommodate guests when the requests are reasonable. They have no ambition as far as sales which makes it a very comfortable environment for customers. I just worry about their longevity not being assertive to grow memberships but hey keep it slow in there i love not waiting to get on machines I like.
I’ve been to the facility Downtown Detroit, and I had a very good experience. Also I had a pleasant conversation with your customer service representative. The YMCA is closed by where I reside.

We have loved the coaching at the YMCA. The classes are age appropriate but still challenging for them.
I feel very welcome at the Birmingham Y. Staff are k8nd and very helpful. Very clean and friendly environment. Cannot wait to try out the beautiful pool.
My seven year-old grandson loves the basketball league on Monday at 5:30. Great coach.
I really enjoy my water aerobics classes. I made friends very fast. Unfortunately I got ill shortly after I started but look forward to coming back soon. It was a pleasure working out in the water again.

My swimming instructor Ari is the best. She is knowledgeable. She answers my questions. And is able to describe and demonstrate swim moves in a way that I can understand. She is patient, willing to repeat swim moves until I’m comfortable. Ari is kind. She shows support and encouragement. She is an overall all excellent swim instructor.
