We need 12-1 lap swim hour. That's the only hour some of us are free to get in a daily workout. We're suffering without it. Please re-start the 12-1 lap swim.

My trainer Kevin. He is so knowledgeable about helping me work out and achieving my fitness goals with some of my physical limitations. I love the variety of equipment he has to make working out challenging and fun.
I give the staff at the Birmingham Y kudos for keeping the cleaning supplies filled and the members for social distancing and trying to keep others safe from spreading the virus. I've only used the pool once but from what I see, the staff is doing what can be done to keep people safe.
There is one thing I'd like to see improved and that's more signs instructing how to clean the equipment after use. I often see people doing a quick swipe with a damp paper towel. That's not enough, the high touch area of the equipment - hand bars, screens and places where you touch while using the equipment need to be sprayed with disinfectant, left to air dry for 1-2 minutes and then vigorously wiped down. Viruses are sticky creatures and take rubbing the surface to remove them.
I think I need the exercise; low-impact seems a bit of a challenge for me at this time; I do like the silver sneakers program and it seems to be helping my legs feel stronger. I always enjoyed the deep water aerobics program

It's not crowded. It is very clean.
