This is definitely one of the best equipped YMCA's I've seen in my travels, and while I am in the process of relocating to Salem, I will likely continue favoring this one. I used to have a variety of exercise and weight machines at my previous home...but in the course of downsizing, have realized that a facility like the Y is a much preferable option for someone at my age.

I love the Y. It's a wonderful social and fitness community center. I LOVE seeing all ages there, the toddlers in day care through to seniors in the pool. There is so much life in the building. My daughter participated in gymnastics and the teen drop in when she was young. I have done many classes from dance jam to chair yoga. I am having PT there now, so convenient. Dario's is a great meeting spot; we are really lucky to have this quality of food and convenient spot to meet up. Great job!

Great facilities and friendly staff.
My sole gripe is the misuse of the squash courts to the point where they become hazardous for advanced users and visiting league guests. Daycare leaves stickers and other debris on court, and folks who use marking sneakers not only mark up the court, but the “wrong sneaker” residue left in court is much slicker than the hardwood beneath and I have suffered medium to severe ankle sprains due to this. I am very nervous continued disuse of the courts will eventually result in a more severe injury necessitating surgery. Obviously none of this is malicious behavior but I would like to see increased enforcement/education on the matter. I am aware there is signage indicating as such

The pool was great! The women locker rooms were clean and it was easy to park there. Also had never realized how close it is, to me.

There are a variety of classes for all ages in and out of the water. Lots of machines for all abilities. And great help from staff especially Keith!

Great facilities with friendly and knowledgeable staff

The childcare center is wonderful. Everyone on the staff knows my child's name and is friendly and welcoming. The children are always participating in fun events, such as the art fair, gingerbread house decorating, pizza Friday or halloween parades. I feel like the teachers genuinely care about my son’s growth and well being. He is always sharing how much fun he had in class, whether he is reading, dancing, playing, or crafting. My son spends all weekend talking about what he is going to share with Ms. Hassania and Ms. Julie on Monday, a testament to how loved and cared for he feels with them. The classroom is always clean and has a new theme so often, which my son loves to show off at pick up. My son’s progress is shared daily and we love getting the pictures on the app throughout the week. The storyboards are great at sharing the lesson objectives behind everything they do in class. Communication is great at the center, any questions/emails are answered quickly.
