I went to Children's Island camp when I was a child and it was magical. I was so pleased for my son to go this summer. He loved it too.

Our kids love Children’s Island. It’s a unique experience to ride a boat to camp everyday and do the wide variety of activities they do! The kids love boating, swimming, scouting activities like campfires and knots, crafts, sports, and all the friends they make! The counselors and leaders do a great job! Each year the kids say they want to go longer next year! Of course I understand since I felt the island magic when I was a kid too!

My 6 year old daughter loved Children's Island Camp. This was her first experience at CI camp, so I was thrilled when she returned each day with a smile on her face and fun stories to share. Thank you!

Clean and helpful staff

The outdoor pool is great and very little kid friendly!

It's a great facility. Helpful staff, good equipment, lots of courses.

So many things to recommend it from the excellent workout equipment, the competent and friendly staff, to the clean and well designed locker room. But what really sets this facility apart for me personally are both the amazing cafe and the infrared sauna. My faves!!!

So welcoming and friendly, with exactly the experiences we were looking for! You have 3 pools, with the times available for free swim published so we will not be disappointed or embarrassed by being asked to get out of the pool for a scheduled class. You also have dance classes! Abundant parking as well. Current construction shows you are growing and improving, all good!

Great facilities and staff

My daughter really enjoy Gymnastics camp last week. She liked the program and enjoyed that she could also go swimming in the afternoon as well as the other activities.

There is truly no better place for a child to spend their summers than Children’s Island.

I don’t go there myself—but every day when my child steps off the ferry, I get to hear the stories. And every single one is full of joy, adventure, and that amazing kind of tired you only get from playing hard all day.

Children’s Island is a screen-free summer filled with real-life magic. My camper comes home covered in island dirt (is there anything better?), with tanned, dirty feet, a messy braid, and a heart full of memories.

The Rangers Program is something they work toward with pride. It’s not just handed out—it’s earned over time, and those beads and patches represent true commitment, personal growth, and a love for the island that runs deep.

Learning happens everywhere out there—on the water, on the rocks, on the hill. Kayaking, sailing, swimming (including big challenges like the Triangle!), archery, arts & crafts—it’s nonstop fun. They sing flagpole songs, watch hilarious skits, hunt for sea glass, and go all out in GaGa games.

Then there’s Late Night, which is its own kind of magic—cooking hot dogs and s’mores over a fire they built themselves. (Yes, they dig the hole!) Riding the ferry back afterward, they’re full of stories and sticky with marshmallow—pure summer joy.

Fridays bring theme days and silly costumes, but what’s most special are the counselors. These young adults are true role models—fun, kind, and full of heart. They’re a huge part of why my camper counts the days until next summer.

Children’s Island is more than a camp—it’s an experience that shapes them, grounds them, and gives them the freedom to just be kids. We feel so lucky to hear about it from the shore. It really is a magical little rock.

Everything you guys do is amazing… my kids are in love with camp and all of the staff, this is my son’s second year and my daughter first time and they loved! One of the activities my sons likes the most is the late night and all the stuff he has to do to earn his patches. My daughter is new but so far loves everything you guys do… keep the good work, you guys are amazing!!!

It's a family-friendly place, with lots of activities for all ages.

The staff is wonderful and super helpful. Also the amenities are clean and safe. I am very impressed and happy to be a part of the YMCA family again.

My child is getting an experience that is so unique to this place - but timeless. The day is full but fun!
