The Y has a great range of activities to choose from for members of all ages! Many programs are tailored for specific age groups. The instructors are friendly and helpful.The gym, pools , and locker rooms are very clean and follow excellent sanitary protocols. The overall open atmosphere is airy and pleasant. Having by a Cafe onsite is an added convenience.

Great communication cleanliness a wide variety of classes and events

Because I always have a positive experience at the LVO Y. Covid protocols have been clear and adhered to. The locker room and pool/pool deck areas are maintained as clean and safe as possible. But the main reason I recommend the LVO Y is because people (staff and members) are very friendly and helpful !!!

My kids love spending time in the kids club or the pool. The gym and locker rooms and clean and convenient. The gymnastics classes are the best part though! My son asks for gymnastics class everyday.

The place is amazing, my kids are having a great time. The people who work with the kids are amazing also. Just want to mention two people, Caroline Roach who got both my Foster kids in when I thought it was too late and Nick Harmon who also helped .

The YMCA and everyone associated with it doesn’t outstanding job of putting programs together that kids enjoy as well as coordinating an easy process for parents. We have been thrilled with our two week experience for our eight year old. The counselors are very creative and kind!

Wildly unique experience taking advantage of coastal living!

My child loved his week at Childrens Island. This is his third year attending.
I remain disappointed that the YMCA has not worked with the town/the businesses at the Landing to design a better, safer solution for pick up at end of day.

As I have given this feedback many times (and NEVER received a response), it may seem tiring but I know it is echoed among many parents, as well as our child's pediatrician... having kids walk .4 miles uphill at the end of a long day in sometimes really intense heat (my son's first ever day was 103 degrees) without the YMCA having a back up plan in these "heat emergencies" is not only dangerous for children and staff, but downright foolish.

I'm not sure if the problem is the town or the businesses, or that the YMCA doesn't invest in hiring a shuttle, but something should change.
As far as I can tell this is still the only negative to CIDC. Its a wonderful program.

My son loved the CIT camp and we registered him for extra weeks based on his first experience. His favorite activity of all was being given the responsibility of running a camper choice activity with support from other counselors. He loved being able to "sell" the choice to campers and was very proud of how well it went.

He loved swimming which should be a daily priority activity for the CITS. He also appreciated the opportunity to shadow counselors and learn about the role directly.

Daniel has a great time and can't wait to go every morning.

My daughter absolutely loved the counselors. She really enjoyed island exploration the bost rides to and from the island.

A HUGE shout out to the Salem crew of Children’s Island Camp. Their enthusiasm during this heat wave was untenable and yet they were there every morning to greet our children with smiles and excitement.

The kids come home every day with a smile! The hours are realistic, and they keep the kids engaged!
