My daughter Morgan looks forward to Children's Island every summer and especially Rangers camp! Counselors are wonderful! So many activities, games and creativity happening...she has never once come off the boat having a bad day at camp.

The summer at the LVO YMCA camp has been wonderful. The staff are so caring, fun and keep the activities exciting and engaging. I love that my child has been able to be in a consistent environment, make new friends and enjoy the summer.

We love the combination of fun and learning for our child. He has always come home with new skills, interests, vocabulary, stories, and signs of learning all while being completely happy and comfortable at school and with the entire staff. His teachers have been kind, attentive, structured, and have helped our child through some developmental stages. We love the administration and their general competence, organization, and willingness to be compassionate and helpful; they have always been professional without being rigid.

Kids had so much fun. Counselors are so energetic and engaged and our kids easily bounded with them and their fellow campers.

Kids had a blast, the staff was well trained, drop off was well organized.

My son had a great summer. He was swimming in the pool every day, played different sports, did strength exercises. He enjoyed having new friends. Every day was busy. Even when the weather was very hot outside, I knew it would be great for kids to be in the gym with the air conditioner. The staff was attentive to parents' questions too.

Camps for 7yrs!!! Always transparent, appropriate, informative and above all safe & FUN!!!!

Wish there were more exercise classes on weekend mornings.

Our daughter had a fantastic time as a CIT on Children's Island!

It is a great facility with many great programs. However, it is difficult to get needed information. The N. Shore YMCA website is very clunky - difficult to use. And when you call your general information number, your voicemail system is difficult to navigate. It would be quite simple to say press 0 for operator.at the welcome center. And if you leave voicemail on 2, 4, 5 it's very difficult to get a call back. Communication is the worst part of the Y experience in my opinion.

My son greatly enjoys the CIT program. It has allowed him to see up close what is involved in working as a camp counselor which has given him the confidence to know that he would like to work at the YMCA summer camp next year. If he had not had this opportunity, I don't know if he would have felt comfortable pursuing this role. The CIT program is a great mix of learning from experienced counselors, and camp fun with a close-knit group of friends. The CITs enjoy swimming, getting to participate in a majors choice, and being able to run activities in the afternoon. My son has been very proud of his increasing abilities to work with younger campers, and appreciates all the supportive feedback from the CIT leader.

Best camp ever for kids, counselors are so nice, kids are busy all day doing all sorts of activities, never a dull moment at CIDC.

It is a wonderful community!

I am delighted that I have access to the infra red sauna. It has such wonderful health benefits!! Of course the pool selections are great for various levels which would be important to others as well. I enjoy swimming laps so that pool suits me very well. The setting is gorgeous outside and the joyful atmosphere is very uplifting. I love to see the children having such a safe and enjoyable time outside

It was great fun yet a little frustrating to not be able to bring guests to the outdoor pool!
