Our daughter comes home from after school happy!

My daughter attends the Brown after school program, she enjoys her time there. All the staff is very friendly and makes her feel welcome. They do arts and crafts, help with homework and get plenty of play time.

We love everything about the Y - we are there 7 days a week because our kids are in ELC and then we do gymnastics/swimming/kids club on Saturday and back to Kids club on Sunday. Our life would be very different without it!

The staff members are great. Specially the coaches with the youth sports.

The activities are fun and age appropriate.

Great facility, good classes, well maintained and clean equipment, pleasant staff. Oh, and a nice view.

We love the gymnastics space at the Y. My younger boys really enjoy classes and open gym sessions. The trampoline is a huge it. Kaitlyn is so welcoming and kind. We would definitely attend open gym sessions in the later afternoon, if that becomes an option.

Great and friendly instructors

Our son is in the Green Room with Miss Niamh and Miss Charlene and we couldn't love them more! They are both so attentive, patient, and loving to all of the kids it really feels like such a special classroom. They do awesome activities and let the kids cultivate what interests them while at the same time pushing them out of their comfort zone to try something new. I can tell Miss Niamh is truly an educator at heart. Our son has been in the ELC at the LVO Y since he was an infant and has gained so much confidence, especially this year and we attribute that to Miss Niamh and Miss Charlene. Miss Niamh always takes a few minutes at the beginning and end of the day to give a quick report on the day and to let us know how how the day went. This is really so appreciated! Thank you both for taking such great care of our kiddos.

We love the Y, however can you do something regarding the family locker rooms? There are not enough of them and it would make more sense if we had one big family locker room, similar to the Lynn Y. Before /after swim lessons and open swim there is always a long line to wait for the family bathrooms. I have a son so that means as a mom I can’t bring him into the girls locker room or the boys and have to wait 20 minutes for a family room. As family members, we pay the most per month and are definitely getting penalized in terms of having a comfortable place to get our small kids dressed. Thank you!

We are a part of the cornerstone program. The YMCA is a wonderful, caring community.

As an older person I love to go to the Y in the midday hours. There is a wonderful combination of high ceilings, natural light, uncrowded space, a variety of machines and friendly staff. The ready smiles of Jeff and Jo-elle are particularly warm and inviting.

Coaches are great at growing technical skills as well as social skills.

I have nothing but positive feedback with regards to the YMCA North Shore Elite cheer program. It’s an amazing program with the most outstanding coaching staff. It keeps my daughter active and fit and she has gained long lasting relationships. In fact so have I. Her love for cheer has certainly grown and her experience and skills continue to excel. 5 stars.

The Lynch/van Otterloo Y is a welcoming and vibrant place! Everyone is friendly but also professional. Great place to workout and get healthy!
