The Ipswich Y is a wonderful place for people of all ages to get fit and stay that way! The staff and trainers are fantastic, and the equipment well maintained.

Excellent Y. Kathy the aquatics director knows my son’s name. The staff is wonderful and courteous. Caitlin who teaches Saturday swim class is excellent as well. A real community Y.

The time and location
My daughter is 9 and was reluctant to get her face wet. We had a hard time finding lessons throughout Covid and she fell really behind with swimming. We did lessons at two other places and she did not progress at all. She has been in swimming classes at the Ipswich Y and the instructors have been wonderful. They have been patient, gentle and encouraging and my daughter has made a ton of progress and is now learning how to dive. Peyton and Maddie are awesome! My daughter is excited to go to swim class every week. Thank you so much!
Lots of variety and lots of equipment in the weight workout area, very seldom a wait for weights or machines. Friendly staff!!!

Beautiful facility, kind employees, great programming!
Both coaches were great and they both knew how to keep kids occupied. Games are fun laid back atmosphere helps kids enjoy the basketball scrimmage. Also substitute coach Luke was great fit. We would love to attend summer program or fall program of the same type! Please, bring it back to YMCA.
