Sterling Woods is an amazing camp. They take such care of my girls as well as all of the other campers.
As a parent, I really appreciate the variety of activities offered in your program. It’s clear that a lot of thought goes into creating a fun, balanced experience that keeps the kids engaged while helping them build confidence, friendships, and new skills. My child comes home excited to share what they did each day, which tells me they’re not only having fun but also feeling supported and encouraged. I also love how the program promotes independence in a safe and structured environment. It’s been a really positive experience for our family!
Awesome activities, awesome staff
We just joined recently but have already been able to enjoy so many benefits of belonging to the Y. Especially with a kid home for the summer it provides so many great activities
It was well organized, staff were caring and professional. My daughter was struggling, compounded by a recent death in the family. Taylor, Jen and Jimmy were super accommodating and supportive, redirecting her and giving her breaks and TLC when she needed it- not easy to do with so many campers. Kids had a great time and were bummed when it ended, wanting to switch other camps we have scheduled later in the summer in order to return to Sterling Woods.

My experience with the YMCA staff has shown them to be consistently warm, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and patient. I do not worry about my kids' safety or wellbeing while they are at camp. I hear reports every day about the fun activities that they enjoy. Challenging situations between the kids are typically handled quickly and decisively.
It has been a very positive experience. I feel stronger already sfter one week!
My daughter is loving her summer at GBY camps! She has participated in Gymnastics, Cheer, and Sterling Woods jr. and her staff have all ensured that she makes peer connections in her group, and is having fun at camp. She never wants to miss a day, even when it’s raining or we are in the middle of a heatwave.
Love pickleball at he Beverly Y! I’m met some wonderful friends! So grateful that you provided us with summer hours weekday mornings until 9:30!
Great gym - great classes
My son said he had an amazing time, meeting new friends, activities, and the staffs did an great job navigating the program.

I swam with my daughter and it was glorious .. the lakes were clear and in an abundance.
My child has a great time, comes back saying very positive things and doesn't refuse to go. Staff has been very friendly and engaging. Keeps her busy, active and entertained.

The counselors encourage the kids to do their best and never give up. The kids get to stay active all day long and come home happy and tired.
I am very pleased with the communication especially from Sabrina with both my little chipmunk and I. Olivia is having a blast at camp chipmunk and all of the camp counselors are absolutely wonderful. I feel safe and happy with my child in care of YMCA staff. Her favorite thing is that she gets to swim every day and she was super excited about making slime! I'm trying to get her more into nature so I love that they take plenty of nature walks as well.
