We cannot say enough about the staff who run the summer camps at the Beverly Y. Our kids have gone to several different camps (Sterling Woods, Gymnastics, Sports, Cheer) over the years and they are excited to go each day and happy when they come home.

I'm already a member based in Gloucester. I've been to Beverly 3 times now and found the classes different but good and enjoyable. The facility is clean. I like the fact that I can go to any Y in the area. I live in Gloucester but am staying in Peabody for 2 1/2 weeks, so this is convenient.

Every counselor has been amazing going above and beyond. The camp is very organized with the checking in and out process. Victoria enjoys going into the woods and playing card games.

My kids LOVE their camp weeks at the Y. They are engaged, have tons of fun and most importantly tired when they leave! All of the counselors are warm and friendly. I also love that the same counselors come back every year keeping familiarity and comfortable level for my kids - especially my oldest.

The camp is organized, welcoming, friendly staff and program directors. Kenzie and Brooke have made my son’s camp experience exceptional. From the preparation for Lucas and myself as this is his first year, to the everyday day at camp activities all have exceeded my expectations as a parent and I am sure that of my son Lucas. We have never seen him so consistently happy and engaging throughout the day. I feel camp star has truly a wonderful program for children with additional needs. A true gem

My kids are always coming home dirty, sweaty, tired and with some new piece of artwork. The counselors are amazing and they are always telling me how fun camp is.

Our experience with Sterling Woods Outdoor Summer Camp has been nothing short of fantastic. As a parent of two children with very different personalities and interests, I was looking for a summer camp that could truly cater to both – and Sterling Woods exceeded my expectations.

One of my children thrives on social interaction and loves making new friends, and this camp has been the perfect environment for that. The friendly, inclusive atmosphere made it easy for them to connect with other campers right from the start. The activities are designed to promote teamwork and creativity, and it's been such a joy to see them come home excited to talk about new friends and fun adventures.

My other child, on the other hand, is happiest when outdoors, exploring and staying active all day long – and Sterling Woods is absolutely ideal for that. The camp makes great use of its natural setting, with a wide variety of outdoor activities that keep kids engaged, moving, and learning in the fresh air. From nature hikes and water play to outdoor crafts and games, the programming is well-rounded and thoughtful.

What truly sets this camp apart, though, is the staff. Every single member we've interacted with has been patient, kind, and clearly passionate about working with children. When my son struggled with participating in camp and struggling and flat-out refused to join certain activities, the staff didn’t push or dismiss him. Instead, they worked with us to develop a gentle and effective plan to help him feel more comfortable, which made a world of difference. Their support and flexibility showed genuine care and understanding.

Overall, Sterling Woods has provided a wonderful summer experience for both of my kids – each in their own way. It's a camp that truly sees the individual needs of children and creates an environment where they can thrive. I highly recommend it to any parent looking for a balanced, supportive, and enriching outdoor camp experience.

My son loves being outside so a camp with all of his favorite activities (swimming, games, rope courses, etc) is a perfect camp for him. The goals of the program to help my son have interaction with peers and have fun is also a bonus for me!!

The sports camp is a well run program. After day one my son was recognized when showing up for the day. The counselors are friendly and encouraging to each kid in attendance. My son couldn't rave about this program more and is so excited to be back.

My daughter loves swimming. She was also very excited to show me the pipe cleaner bracelets she made!

My kids are LOVING both the Sterling Woods and Sports Camp these past two weeks. They feel like there is a ton of variety with regards to activities and they adore the entire staff. As a parent, I find the communication between the "front camp staff" and parents to be great. More so, every morning they are greeted by name and every afternoon they hear goodbye. All in all, they feel a connection to these camps and the staff and look forward to enjoying them more this summer.

Jimmy and Kenzie make it very welcoming and know all the campers. To me it seems like they really enjoy making it fun for the kids and have a nice welcoming feel.

Chipmunk camp staff have been welcoming and kind to my daughter who is hesitant with change. She glows everyday and loves her counselors. Beyond that, they have been communicative with me about any happenings at camp. This team is top notch!
