The Y offers many classes with excellent engaged instructors. The Y is responsive to members and the community. Tim Flaherty and his staff are awesome. They are both welcoming and professional. Best comprehensive wellness center in Beverly for all ages and all abilities!

Why are you so likely to recommend the Y?

The community locker room works very well for us. Because I have a urostomy, I need a handicapped locker room that includes a shower, toilet, sink and electrical plug, so that I can change my urostomy bag in private, after swimming. I need to be able to blow-dry the area around my stoma, in order to successfully apply the special powder that is intended to be applied around the stoma, prior to applying a new urine pouch. Some of the nearby Y facilities do not have all four items. My husband is 83, and prefers to use a nearby shower in the community locker room.

The facilities are great! A recent injury has me sidelined, but it forced me to see what else the Y has to offer -- including the very well-equipped Community Locker Room and the exercise section of the pool, with lots of hours of open pool time!

Member for 22 years, left because work had a gym for 6 and now I am back and it is even better than when I left. So many options, classes included, equipment maintained, overall it is very well managed!

There is so much to offer with the large variety of equipment, programs and classes. I love that they are very active in the community. Although there is always a lot of people using the facility you can always find the space you need. The facility is very clean and the staff is friendly and helpful.
