The opportunity for kids to learn the game of golf in a team-play manner
My son loves the team aspect that Pga Jr league provides. He loves the game of golf and it is even more fun when you can share it with a team of other kids his age.
Program for kids and competitiveness
They learn to play golf
Russell Reid is a wonderful coach. He really cares about the kids and makes the league feel like family. He encourages all the kids to support each other and there's very little competition between them or in-fighting. It's been a great year and our son has both learned a lot and grown a lot as a person!
Scramble/best ball format
Eric Kulinna and Aaron Lindauer did an amazing job for the kids and with the kids. Always avaialble to answer questions, always very careful on the COVID-19 safety rules respec. They spent time to build team that are balanced to grant a real competition. In a scale from 1 to 10 they deserve 11.
The ability for my child to play golf in a team format.
Not only the fact they get lessons in skills. Being able to actually play a round of golf with their team and other teams ables them to learn the game, etiquette and develop friendship.
Although in Western PA it would be nice to see a longer JR PGA program. Maybe a spring, summer and fall session. Maybe fall just play against their own group to not have travel time due to school and other fall sports.
Teaching young kids to golf in a professional way
Kids golfing together without constant interference from adults
My son is learning the rules of golf and how to play. Along with teamwork and dedication.
Great coaches at Olde Stonewall. Very fun and great learning experience for our 8 yr old.
I thought it was a fantastic program to serve as an entry point for the youth into competitive golf.
New friends, new courses, new coaches, and improved game.
Fees were pretty high, when you factor in local fees with PGA Jr fees. I have 2 boys, at about 230 dollars per kid for one session.
It's great experience for the kids and teaches them all aspects of the game.
The program gets kids out there playing in a scramble format. Most other programs or lessons only use the driving range and teach technique. The PGA Jr League is a chance for these kids to learn the true rules and etiquette of golf.
It's a great opportunity for kids to play in a team atmosphere! Which is very rare in Jr golf. It is usually always individual tournaments.
Kids playing with other kids
The professionals at Treesdale ran the best program I have been a part of yet. they did a great job and I would highly recommend it to anyone thinking about it.
Overall great program for the kids. Competitive but friendly
Excellent way to introduce kids to the game of golf. I especially like that they can play at other locations when we are traveling and away from home.
Great way for kids to be introduced to competitive golf. We made sure everyone had fun, all of the kids demonstrated great sportsmanship and support to both their fellow teammates and competitors
Everything! Great competition, scramble format, different skill levels helps build camaraderie between players and teams, great method to get young people excited about the game.
This is a terrific low pressure, fun, team oriented way for kids to learn to love the game, without pretense and without the embarrassment and frustrations that come with learning to golf. Ingenious! My.boys are hooked.
Great having my son play several coarses and meet new kids
