What do you like about PGA Jr. League?

The course was beautiful. Great uniforms. Love practices with scrambles.
Scrambles don’t have enough support— the league relies on parents knowing golf. Some practices were short on instructors— they’d drive off and kids didn’t get enough help from the remaining coaches (younger adults).

What do you like about PGA Jr. League?

The PGA Jr. League does a very nice job of running the golf event.

It was unfortunate that Diamond Run was not very accommodating. I hope other courses are chosen in the future that will be more friendly. It was almost like they were annoyed that the event was being held there.

It was 95'F and they did not provide water throughout the course.
They refused to provide golf carts to spectators...despite there being plenty available.
At one point, a female employee locked the front door of the clubhouse - requiring you to walk around the building to enter and use the bathroom.
Garbage cans were overflowing.
And it was a challenging course for the Jr. golfers. It's is extremely hilly and there are long distances between greens and tee boxes. It's a tough course to walk...especially for 13 and unders.

I'm not sure what factors are used when selecting a golf course for this event but this was not a good selection. Nice course but not for a PGA Jr. League match.

I love the team format and my son had a great experience. However the all-star rules need some work. If this feedback is read and you would like me to elaborate, send me an email and I can explain in further detail. Thank you.

What do you like about PGA Jr. League?

Age ranges are really wide with the 13U group. Not sure how to solve the concern, however, 7 year olds that have never golfed and 12/13 year olds that have does limit the progress of the 12/13 year old golf development with helping the younger ones so much. However, it does help the 12/13 to mature by helping the younger ones.

What do you like about PGA Jr. League?

A great way to get young golfers out on the course and playing the game. Need to spread out the golfers into more teams even in their score doesn't count. The younger players lose focus when they arn't allowed to play multiple holes. They just want to play and don't care about real competition.

Team golf teaches the kids how to communicate, strategize, work together, rely on and support each other, and learn from each other while having a lot of fun together.

What do you like about PGA Jr. League?

We were very happy to have our son in the league. The coaches were fantastic and my son really enjoyed himself while continuing to learn the game of golf. The only disappointment was the lack of attendance by the other teams. Registration is limited and we hope we will be able to get him on the team again next season. The roster fills very quickly.
