It's an easy way for the kids to get some competitive, low pressure golf in.
The skills my son has learned about golf and life
The coaches and having a regular time for my kid to play
I thought the program was great in the aspect of weekly league play. I expected to see more coaching / teaching.
The league was run well and a good way for kids to play some competitive golf at different courses! Thank you!
Style of play
The Jr. PGA League has been such a wonderful experience for my son. He loved having the opportunity to play new courses, meet new friends, and enjoy the game he loves in a fun, supportive environment. The league does a fantastic job of making golf exciting for kids while also teaching them teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence on the course. We’re so grateful for the coaches and organizers who make it such a positive experience—highly recommend to any family looking to get their child more involved in golf!
It was a really great experience. I would say that the tees should be spread out more for all star events to level the playing field between the 10/11 boys and the 12/13 boys. Often on Par 4s there was negligible difference between the tees, but a considerable difference in driving distance between the older and younger players.
My son really enjoyed golf this summer. As parents we were hoping for a little more instruction from coaches for the kids. Overall was a good experience.
The junior league allows kids to compete at a young age. My child was able to determine her strengths and weaknesses while competing against others her same age. She will now work in the fall and winter on improving her game for next season.
A good reason to get the kids out golfing. Easy, relaxed format with the 2-man scramble. Not much pressure. Good practice.
Great opportunity for kids to learn and love the game of golf. Gives them an early start to the competition end of it. Kids love the chance to play other courses in the area with their friends
Great opportunity to play all of the local courses and learn the game of golf!
The team aspect
Comaradery, the kids have to decide together what to do on every shot. They also learn from each other.
Good fellowship and getting to play with kids of the same age group. Learning the game and developing social skills along with golfing skills.
Our coach was the best. Tim was there anytime we needed anything. He's a great coach.
Traveling to other courses to play
From researching youth golf competition.
My daughter loved the golf program so much. She learned a lot and met new friends.
Tim and the Oakbrook staff run an amazing league! My boys look forward to golf every week.
Format and coaching
We love everything about this league-
Coach Tim, the fact that it shows kids how fun golf can be, seeing other courses, sportsmanship… we could go on!
Fun format. Great course. Low stress and fun to have family with kids
PGA Jr League has been a wonderful experience for our ten year old boy! He absolutely LOVES going to golf each week and strives to be better each time. The coaches and volunteers know and teach the kids such valuable tips and skills. The kids that my son played with were what every parent dreams of with their children. They were helpful, they gave my son suggestions (he was one of the youngest players in his group), and they were kind! Great experience and I would 100% recommend this program!
I liked that all kids were included, they got to practice, got exposure on different courses. The golf pros were all very helpful and encouraged all the kids. Great experience all around!
great course. great organization. lots of fun had.
thanks to Adam Morrison at Diamond Run!
Great opportunity for kids to learn the game in a fun and supportive group.
I really liked the format of the matches. Having a partner to play with takes some of the pressure off and makes it very fun. It gives them a taste of competition without the anxiety of every shot being on them.
