Is a great league for kids to learn the game
How accessible it is for all levels of play.
Coach Ethan was wonderful!
It’s a great organization! We are blessed to be a part of it!
I would love to have more programs like this at least per season. This program gave my son a great opportunity to play golf with his peers and better understand the rules of the sport.
Denise was awesome and it is a great way for kids to start playing competitive golf in a friendly manner. Thanks
great, affordable opportunity for youth to learn the game of golf
Enjoy the competition and ability to meet new golfers to my junior.
Great program
Communication was good. Coaching was excellent. Jana really worked with us and was flexible with First name removed's other activities. She made it possible for him to be a full participant and get the most out of the league. He improved a lot over the summer and fall leagues that he participated in. We've recommended this to at least 4 friends already, and we'll be back in the spring.
We love our coach, David Mullins. He is so supportive of the kids, and has them work on teamwork and helping coach each other when on the course for matches.
PGA Junior League has made it so that our son (who has aged out of our local programs) continues to have a love of golf and has made our daughter enjoy getting out to play with new friends. I especially like how our team has encouraged as many girls as boys to participate and enjoy the game.
Our team is also very supportive of all players and other parents.
PGA Jr. League is a great forum to bring youngsters to the game of golf. With in-depth instruction, match play, and end-of-season festivities, such an enjoyable experience!
The "game" aspect of the kids playing and not making it daunting.
Very good exposer and training for my son! Good sportsmanship among the players and I he grew in the sport!
The opportunity for young golfers to play good courses and to learn golf etiquette. It also provides an excellent opportunity to learn sportsmanship and motivates them to improve their skills.
Great way to get a jr involved in a less pressure format.
Competitive but friendly, great introduction for kids to competitive golf.
Great introduction to the game! Lot’s of fun and lower pressure as a team event.
Great program - can’t say enough good things.
Great format for kids to experience the game. Only reason I didn't give it a 10 is that 9 holes shouldn't take 2.5-3 hours, which is driven mainly by the amount of walking between holes that is required by those that choose to walk (carts should be required until they start teeing off from at least red tees)
Loved that my 10-year-old got to get our on the course and play with peers her own age and challenge the skills she's been learning.
Kids LOVE it! They learn technique, have short and focused practices with loads of fun, and then simply get to apply it on the course. Our course leaders strongly encouraged parents to be encouragers and not coaches on the course during matches, to keep it fun so all kids are enjoying the opportunity and not feeling pressured.
The PGA team does a wonderful job and the events are well organized.
I think pace of play needs to more of a focal point. I think its very important that the parents are involved but having a 10 or 11 year old lining up a putt with a 360 degree walk around and adjusting the line on the ball 3 or 4 times is a bit much at this age. Older kids need to learn to get to the ball and be ready to hit. Its okay to walk ahead when the other person is in the far right rough and you are waiting when your ball is out of the way and on the left.
Wish more events were in Dayton. Having some camps or clinic teaching the players different aspects of the game.
I loved the format of the competition. It gives the kids a sense of the game while not making it discouraging or drawn out. Also, it is always nice to have a teammate when just learning.
It’s an individual sport but kids still need kids.
Was a great learning experience for my 2 boys.
The values it teaches youngsters through the game of golf.
Just a fantastic program to get kids of all ages interested in golf!
We liked that players of all skill levels could be introduced to competitive golf, and because of being paired with other players, could have some of the pressure removed as they learn the game of golf.

This was such a wonderful experience. The coaching staff were friendly and encouraging as well as all the coaching staff from other teams. My son met others his age and they had such a positive experience playing with each other. We plan on doing this program next summer.
