Good program, excellent coaches, and affordable.
The coaches are fantastic and take so much time and care with the kids. We actually drive across town to attend PGA Jr at Trailhead to be with the coaches there.
As a grandmother/supporter/coach/caddy of two previous PGA Jr, League players, I think it’s a great program and has been both fun and helpful to my players and has encouraged them to stay in the sport. My grandson is playing on the golf team in high school. My granddaughter will when she gets there. Kids learn about golf rules, good sportsmanship and etiquette by playing with their own age groups. I’d like to see more structure with those walking along and coaching their kids. Unfortunately, many parents don’t know the rules enough to make known what is important or needed during play. That could improve the experience of playing and competing.

This league gives the kids actual tournament experience they would otherwise not be able to have if they don’t belong to a country club. The league embodies the diversity, equity and inclusion principle to foster future golfers and expand golf sports.

So many great opportunities for youth to play golf. The all-star league is awesome and allows kids who are more competitive with golf be challenged and also play some amazing course, all while connecting with other kids their age. This is our first year my sone is playing on the PGA Jr. League and we love it!

Instructions while actually playing golf
Individual coaching. The fundamental swing mechanics they teach the kids and the on course playing is great.
The coaches are great! And the families we have met have all been so friendly and supportive of each golfer. The communication has improved over the seasons. Overall great, friendly, and supportive program for junior golfers!

The team feeling for the kidd
We have attend THREE PGA Jr League in 2024.
(1) Meadow Park - (BAD)
Pro: The instructor is very nice and has a lot of energy. Very supportive.
Con: The pairing is very bad. We have been pair with same person several times and no chance to play with better players. It seems like they keep the better players in a group. There is no opportunity to advance or to proof the ability. All the performance information is not published.
(2) Jefferson Park - (OK)
Pro: Play with boys and girls with better skills. Learned a lot from other players.
Con: The instructor support is not there. He only show up in the first and last holes. No other teaching or support
(3) Chambers Bay - (AWESOME!!)
Pro: The instructor is very nice, supportive and fair. There is an individual play ability test. The position of each group is base on the play ability test and the team scores. The instructor is keeping a scoring system and share with everyone. Therefore, who goes compete is based on the individual performance.
Con: Nothing bad to report. I LOVE CHAMBERS BAY TEAM!!
My son has general anxiety disorder. Competing in sports really sets it off. It’s great to use this as a means to get him out of his comfort zone and compete.
Our coach is absolutely fantastic with the kids and really has a great style of coaching.

Organized and met our expectation. The Coarse host is ideal and very nice.
My son has been in the PGA Jr. league for 4 seasons now and absolutely loves it. He gets great instruction from his coach at our local course and gets the experience of playing matches against other kids in the area.
