Laid back and fun for kids
The fun environment for my boys to learn how to play golf. The positivity of the coaches/instructors. One day a week is not too much of a time commitment. Playing against similar skill level youth golfers. Cost is affordable. This allows for access to youth who wouldn’t normally have the opportunity to learn golf.
Our son had a great time playing. Great format, having 2 man scramble. I wish the coach would/ could coach a little more.

PGA Jr. League is an excellent and structured opportunity for young players to meet, play and compete. I love the it is age appropriate and has rec league and more competitive leagues to meet kids where they are. It's great that rec leagues can be more flexible with the rules so younger players can enjoy the experience. I love that the leagues are about introducing rules, keeping score, improvement, and playing respectfully. Additionally, the coaches and people running the leagues in our experience have been really terrific.
Coach Blake Smith is really good with all of my kids. He is patient and my kids really enjoy the experience. In Alaska, we have a very abbreviated season, and the coaches help to make the most of of it.
My son loved playing with teammates and meeting new kids. He liked how he had his 'group of people' that he could enjoy the game with.
