The chance for some competition. I liked the low pressure format, but I would prefer to see someone helping to show them how to speed up their play the proper way. There was a lot of wasted time that could have been avoided.
Like that the kids are coached by a PGA golf professional. The environment is very welcoming and encouraging for newer golfers. Like that the kids play with a partner-builds relationships with other kids who like golf and takes the pressure off individual performance at matches.
What’s not to like?Kids outside interacting learning the game. Love it.

This was our 3rd year in the program. The first 2 years were in Charleston SC. This was our first year in Grand Forks ND. Dan Tannahill was an awesome coach. I would like to see the kids have more access to the golf course practice facilities during the season. Kings walk offered 1 free bucket of balls on the weekend for each kid. This is inadequate for the kids who are committed to improving their game. I would even be willing to pay a little more up front. Both years in Charleston the kids were afforded daily access to the range. See you next year!

My daughter has enjoyed the camaraderie that has come with the TEAM aspect being a member of her PGA Jr. team. She’s made new friends every year and looks forward to another positive experience next year.

My son loved the tournaments and being able to participate in the city golf tournaments each week in July. We also really liked the attention Danny Sinksen gave each golfer.

Suggestions -- Don't like how leagues are formed.. We are a lower end private club and get placed with nearby public facilities where the higher end private clubs choose their own teams. My parents don't understand why our team doesn't get to go to like-private facilities.
Age groups may have to be looked at as the program is growing. 9 - 13 is too much of an age gap. Either look at 9-11 & 12-13 or look at flighting teams into AAA, AA or A like baseball does in terms of strength of team.
