The coaches and the kids
Kids learning the game from a competitive standpoint and the etiquette. Great experience!
It gives kids the opportunity to play other courses they normally wouldn't. Kids who are newer to golf can get into the team environment and fall in love with the game.
The kids create great friends through golf while learning team aspects of golf through the scramble format by picking each other up at times of need.
PGA golf league in Pine Island MN was awesome for my daughter. She learned many things as a league beginner, keeping score and made friends. It was a great experience for her and I as we learned throughout the summer from the coaches and other parents who went through it last year. She'll definitely be joining again next summer. Thank you, PIGC!!
Izak who ran the program for our club this year really took the league to another level. So great! Awesome experience for the kids and the parents as well.

Comraderie, sportsmanship, positive experience
We loved our coaches - they did a great job.
Alex was a great coach that made the game of golf fun for my son!
It gave my son a chance to play golf with a team and he had so much fun. I love the encouragement of all of the parents on both teams. It was a great experience for us and my son who played.
The team element and excellent coaching.
The scramble format
I believe my daughter had great coaching when the coaches were available to her. I like that there is time on the range and the course, and competition as well.
The format is great. Our coach,
Mike Greer (Keller Golf Course, MN) was fantastic!
Our coach was the best. My kiddo is such a fan. We had a great experience and will absolutely be doing this next year. I just wish the season was longer
Ryan Sharpe and staff were excellent. Great instruction without being overbearing. Gave the kids a couple things each week to work on so they could focus. Match play format was a lot of fun, and switching partners weekly allowed them to learn from each other as well. Great program.
Love the team aspect of the program.
The focus on fun within the context of competition.
Bringing kids together to enjoy the game of golf.
Good coaching and such fun play for the kids!
Great teaching, and introduction to the game
Fantastic and supportive coaching, good learning gs for sportsmanship and skill.
Low stress for the players while still allowing them to strive to play their best golf.
It was great to have a consistent dedicated opportunity to get my son out to play golf. I appreciated having both dedicated instructional opportunities and designated on course matches, meeting essentially two times per week. In previous years at a different location, it was only once a week, so there were 2-3 instructional practices and the rest of the sessions were matches which felt light on instruction and improvement beyond the consistency of just getting out a playing. I really liked that this had both. Getting into the league and on the team was a bit difficult, getting a hold of the right person. I also didn't get the match schedule until the middle of the year, so I felt like I was flying blind a bit and was often surprised by match days. Overall, I think communication could have been better, but the positives definitely outweighed the negatives and we are looking forward to coming back next year.
Fun format.
Increased love of the game for my son and consistent attention from a coach was just incredible
I highly recommend the PGA Jr. League to introduce young golfers to competitive golf while still keeping is casual and fun!
