We loved this experience for our kids to have fun playing golf and learning how to be on the golf course in a fun non pressure experience. It's a great way for them to play tournament golf with a less pressure because of the match play/partner experience!
The tournaments are competitive and keep my kids engaged in golf for the summer.
My only struggle with the Jr Pga is the cost of the players tour events. With multiple players it is not affordable to play many tournaments compared to when there were series and all players competing for players tour points were able to fairly have a chance to get the same points. Now if you can only afford a tournament or two at best you do not have a chance to play in the tournament of champs at the end of the season.

The kids have fun and in the process learn to play the game. Also, as far as I could see, the competitors were good sports and everyone was respectful of their opponents.
Our 7 turned 8 year old son had a fantastic experience with PGA Jr in Grand Forks. The instruction and coaching was beyond impressive. He really enjoyed the age-appropriate competition and had a blast exploring that side of the game. I loved the opportunity for patental involvement as able. We can't wait for next year!
