It allows the kids to play at an affordable price at other courses
This was our first year participating in PGA Jr. at Oakwood, and we were beyond impressed with both the program and the staff. Our son not only improved his skills and knowledge of the game, but—more importantly—his confidence and love for golf grew tremendously. Having the staff out on the course with the kids, offering guidance in real time, made the experience even more valuable. We truly appreciate the time, dedication, and care the staff put into making this program such a positive and impactful experience.

The weekly practices were at the kids level and the pros kept it light and fun. Just that routine of weekly practices really helped our kids get more into the game and experience some success. For the every other week matches, it's tough to schedule I'm sure, but it would have helped our family to have our two boys in the same match time (this did occur towards the end of the season). All in all, we're glad we did it and will do it again.
How laid back it is. All the parents seem to get along and root for both sides. We realize they are just learning. A lot of sports our family has participated in, the parents think their kids are going to play for a pro team.

Gives kids a great entry level view into the world of golf. The team aspect is beneficial to get the kids bought in by being able to play as a team. Great coaching and support from the course pro!
The individualized lessons
We had our first competition, loved how you made it fun, involved the parents, created some ground rules for the parents on how to support the players and when not to support the players. Only opportunity was the season party. Lots of parents were unaware we had to purchase tickets for the the adults to eat. Overall it was AMAZING!!!!

I thought the practices were well organized and the different circuits kept the kids engaged. The golf coaches were patient with the kids and made it fun for them. The golf matches were well organized. My only suggest (or request) would be to move the start time up of the golf matches on Sundays. Starting at 5:30pm makes it difficult to do dinner as you have to eat at 4/4:30pm and you don't get home until almost 9pm. Overall, we were very impressed with the program and coaches that led it and would love to participate again next year!

Great format, instruction and all-around fun for my beginning golfer
We loved the instruction along with weekly matches to implement the instruction. We saw our son make a lot of progress over the year, so much so he placed 3rd in our clubs Jr Gold Tournament. Our son already loves golf and this made him fall even more in love with the sport. He had fantastic instructors, as well. We are looking forward to signing him up next year.
