I do wish that the pay wouldn't have increase from $99, then $125, then $199, and finally $250 this year. Also, I wish we would practice more than 3-4 times a season. I feel like these are two areas of concern.

The team format is perfect for younger players, as two or three person scrambles alleviate a great deal of pressure off a single player. Our junior benefited greatly. In traditional stroke play, he struggled terribly after a poor shot. He couldn't play 9 holes without shedding tears. PGA Junior League gave him tastes of success that led to confidence. That confidence has allowed him to do a better job of keeping his composure and enjoying the game when he plays his own ball.
Courtney Mahon golf is awesome and deserves recognition for the program she runs. Golf talk with integrity, discipline and fun makes a greater learning experience for the kids.

Junior League was an amazing experience for my teen girl. She had a great time, made friends and LOVES playing golf now. It was the perfect way to keep her playing all summer. We will do it again next year.

It's a great way to get young golfers used to playing competitive rounds, without the pressure of a big tournament, in a friendly environment. I do wish it were a little more organized locally and regionally but we've been happy with the experience.
Gives my daughter a more relaxing atmosphere for tournaments. We have not seen match play offered anywhere else!
