This was our first year participating in Jr. League. Our 9 year old son had an amazing experience. The format of a match play scramble made golfing stress free and fun. This is a great way to get kids into golf and exposed to competitive matches, without the same anxiety they would experience with individual stroke play.
We’ve done PGA Junior for three years now and had super great experiences with all three years. The coach we had at Lake Forest in Ann Arbor was absolutely fantastic and made all the difference in my kids golf education. I wish we could do it forever!

All Star Competition
I like that the kids actually receive good feedback on how to improve their swing or think about approaching different shots. I do wish ability level was grouped a bit more so that on practice nights the strongest players go out first so that they are able to complete as many holes as possible. This is harder when they get stuck behind players who are not as strong.

I love the access juniors can get to PGA Professionals in a setting that is light and fun, but teaches the game the right way.
Loved that my son could play other courses and that it was a 2 man scramble which helped his confidence.

Supportive team atmosphere
Great developmental league with coaches who truly care about leading and teaching the young men and women in the program. The League builds confidence, social skills and camaraderie among the participants. I highly recommend the beginner, average and above average golfer to participate in their local municipal PGA Jr. League program.

Essentially it increased my two sons' enjoyment and understanding of the game of golf. Watching them compete for their first time with a crowd brought us so much joy and excitement. They wanted so badly to play well. For the first time I saw them experience the same challenge and excitement that I get from my favorite game. The coaching was great. The environment and structure was exactly what was needed for their age and experience level. I was very impressed with the overall experience.

PGA Jr League is extremely versatile for all ages and skill levels. I'm thankful that we run an inhouse league and are able to meet kids right where they are at skill wise and make it work for all. The format is very conducive for beginners as well as better players.
I love that it gave my son an opportunity to play competitive golf in a supportive atmosphere and the opportunity to play at a number of great courses.

Very well ran. Great coaches, great beat ball set up. The play was expectingly slow, which made it long for the attention span for my girls, they got a little board of it by the 5th hole.
Possibly a couple holes less would be perfect, but that could just be my girls.
