Exposure to more like-minded kids his age.
However, the PGA Jr could be more accommodating to the kids on the waitlist especially those who live closest to that participating club.
I like that it is a low stress way for kids to get introduced to the game of golf.
Allowing parents to watch and having coaches checking in on their groups.
It’s my daughter’s only sport. She built a lot of confidence and improved her game this season. Our coach couldn’t be better. He’s so patient and helpful to the players.
Our coach at Springbrook Golf Course, Kody Wills was fantastic. He has created a fun environment for the kids while teaching them the game. Both of my boys in his program have had a blast and showed improvement.
I love the opportunity for kids to experience and learn golf collectively with other kids of all skill levels at a reasonable price point. I wish there was a better way to measure success over the course of the summer season and if more girls could be marketed to and have the opportunity to play together.
I love this program! My only complaint is I wish the season was a little bit longer. I wish the kids were practicing and participating in matches through at least mid August. Ending in July just seems a little too soon. Thank you!
The coaching and matches! Jerseys were much better quality this year!
Well run and flexible scheduling. No pressure matches to introduce the kids to the game
Exposure to the game and them learning the rules and etiquette to prepare them for competition at the later levels.
We loved the coaches and the experience overall.
Would love for it to be a little more affordable especially wanting to do fall league too. Maybe an option to do both for a discounted rate.
The flexibility of practices and matches. The opportunity for kids to learn from instructors in a group setting - allows for some fun games/competitions the kids enjoy.
It’s great for kids and they are our future for golf!
Golf skills clinics combined with game play.
My son really enjoyed the Jr. PGA program because he was able to improve his swing while having fun with exciting competitions and challenges. He loved spending time outdoors and being part of a positive environment where the coaches were encouraging and supportive. Through the program, he made new friends, introduced some of his friends to golf, and gained confidence as he saw his progress. He also appreciated the opportunity to learn important values like sportsmanship, patience, and focus, all while enjoying team activities and celebrating achievements throughout the season.
It's a great, low pressure format and my kids love the team aspect of it!
We love the PGA Junior league. The format allows kids to learn the game of golf with a teamwork frame to the competition. Plus the Coaches from Bolingbrook Golf Course are top notch. They truly care about the kid and their growth.
Team golf
My son had fun and wants to keep playin!
The coach and kids helping were outstanding. My son is looking forward to next year!
We’ve had a great experience with Jr PGA. This was our 3rd summer and we’ll be back!
We had a Great experience. Only suggestion is more matches with other jr pga branches rather than so many within just our group.
Great program
My son has participated for many years and it has been an excellent experience.
He has now aged out but we will miss this excellent program.
My son really enjoyed the Jr. league and js looking forward to doing it again next year.
Program was organized and fun!
Great experience for our son. Like the balance of practice and games - and playing in a team with other kids similar to his age and skill level!
This was our first experience with PGA junior league, and we absolutely loved it. It has encouraged my Son so much that we even attended some professional events this year because he was begging to go. The Bolingbrook program we were a part of was fantastic. We had some rough matches with neighboring teams that I think took it a bit too serious at times. I understand we shouldn't be coaching while they are playing, but 8-10 year old's are just learning the basics, they need help still with etiquette, club selection, and general strategy. There was one match where the parents of the other team sucked all the fun out of it, and the other teams coach hurrying us along.
I wish the other teams could be a bit more carefree like Bolingbrook. I also wish the teams we played were closer in age. We had a 9 and 10 year old playing 3 14 year old's, teeing off from the same spot. Need to make it more challenging for older kids who are driving the green.
Low pressure environment for golfing with peers.
The coaching, the mentoring between new and experienced golfers, the social aspect of the game.
