My favorite aspect of Jr. PGA is that it invites kids of all skill levels onto the golf course to learn the game in an unassuming and welcoming environment. Thanks to Jr. PGA, my girls are improving their game of golf as well as growing to love a sport that they can play for the rest of their lives.
The coordinator David was great for my Grandson and his game improved..
Laidback environment, good weekly lesson, focused on the kids
Team format
Structure. Young children today lack structure and this setup and program is unique in that it is highly structured. In a nutshell this structure lends itself to better learning for the kids and more success on the golf course.
We loved how organized and prompt Brandon was with any questions we had. Our kids had a fantastic experience and we are very excited to participate again.

Wonderful first experience all around!
For any parent looking to introduce their child to the world of golf, the PGA Junior League is more than just a program; it's an experience that encapsulates everything wonderful about the sport. In a world that often emphasizes individual achievement, this program brilliantly shifts the focus to teamwork, respect, and a genuine love for the game, creating a foundation that will last a lifetime.
One of the most remarkable aspects of the PGA Junior League is the incredible sense of camaraderie it fosters. By placing kids in a team-based, scramble format, the pressure of individual performance is lifted, and in its place, a spirit of collaboration blossoms. You see it in the high-fives after a great shot and the words of encouragement after a miss. Teammates aren't just playing alongside each other; they are actively helping one another, learning to strategize together and celebrate shared successes. These are not just golfing buddies; they are friends, building bonds that extend far beyond the fairway.
This team-first mentality naturally cultivates a deep respect for the opponent. The program is structured to be encouraging for all participants. The focus is on playing your best, not just on winning. This environment teaches young players to appreciate a good shot, no matter who hits it, and to be gracious in both victory and defeat. They learn that the true measure of a golfer is not just their score, but their character.
Beyond the competition, the PGA Junior League immerses children in the unique peacefulness of the golf course. In an age of constant digital noise, spending a few hours on a beautifully manicured course is a welcome respite. The quiet focus required, the beauty of the natural surroundings, and the simple act of walking the course instill a sense of calm and appreciation for the environment. It's a gentle reminder that some of the best moments in life are the quiet ones.
Finally, the program doesn't shy away from the inherent difficulty of golf. The game is a challenge, a constant pursuit of improvement that requires patience, discipline, and resilience. The PGA Junior League provides a supportive setting for kids to face these challenges head-on. They learn that not every shot will be perfect, and that's okay. They learn to manage their frustrations, to focus on the next shot, and to understand that progress is a journey, not a destination. These are invaluable life lessons that will serve them well in all their future endeavors.
In short, the PGA Junior League is a phenomenal program that teaches the mechanics of a great golf swing while building even greater character. It is a testament to the fact that golf is more than just a game; it's a vehicle for teaching some of life's most important values.

Playing golf as a team instead of individual.
Fun, teammate, coaches
It’s a great way for youngsters to learn about the game while playing it. Also teaches thenm how to be a team and good sportsmanship plus make new friends.
Opportunity to compete. And being coached up by the staff.
Downside: some facilities are cheating the kids out of the 9 holes they are promised for the competitions. Some playing 6 holes only. Seems like a gyp to the kids and really disappointing.
A disappointing and misleading representation of PGA Jr
