Consumer Testimonials
This year was amazing. Our son learned a lot from a great coach. We can't wait until next summer.
I love that there is a weekly program for my older (17U) child/athlete to continue to compete and work on his game. It is competitive yet friendly/inclusive and definitely encourages a team envoirnment.
The kids, coaches, format and involvement of the parents is all fantastic! Some feeling of competition without it being overbearing for kids learning the game is great.
There were several matches though that the courses did not have tee boxes set up, and sometimes were not enough golf carts for the parents and kids - at 95 degree heat index at times and starting on hole 4 or 5, making them walk because the courses weren’t organized is frustrating and stressful for parents.
Overall great experience and will do again!
The teamwork, the friendships and the family
This is the best program for young kids to enjoy playing golf. It would be nice if add more program for competitive kids
Great coach - well run program
This is a great opportunity for kids to learn game of golf, compete and improve their game. The coaches at Bowes Creek are phenomenal and the results show.
Some of key things my son enjoyed:
Great coaches
Playing experience
Team environment
New friends
My son LOVED his first year of competitive golf. He enjoyed getting to know the kids on his team, the social aspect, and the support and encouragement from our club golf pros. He can't wait until next year!
The opportunity to play in a competitive, yet relaxed, league.
My daughter loved learning the game of golf and the coaches.
We love everything about PGA! We have the best coaches. The experience is a must. My son truly enjoys being part of the PGA league!
Good starting point for youngsters. Good instruction. During match play, teammates have a crutch to lean on if they had a bad ball.
Coaching and encouragement from the pro’s and the respect shown by the participants and parents
Fun and cool
It’s a great opportunity for kids to learn more about golf from both their coaches, and teammates. It is great to get them out on a number of courses so they can learn how to play in different conditions.
Cantigny Youth Links is a wonderful program!
Coach Jeff at Phillips Park in Aurora, IL, was so great with the kids. He made it fun, kept them engaged, while they learned the game and improved on their skills. This was my daughters first year playing golf and she is looking forward to next season.
This is our first time with PGA Jr. League and we loved it. Great program. Love coach Woody. Maybe adding more classes would be great. Also, would be nice to have some sort of ceremony and awards at the end of the season.
Scramble format
It allows the kids to get comfortable with golf, lessons are fantastic
I like that it is multiple days between practice and matches. It allows the kids to practice before going to the next match.
The coaches really seem to like their jobs. They seemed interested in all the kids not just some of the kids. But it did seem a bit expensive and maybe this is just what golf cost.
Supportive environment for new players.
Love the competition! Love that the kids learn to follow all the rules of golf. Love the All-Star experience!
Great program, great coaching, my son learned a lot and most importantly had a lot of fun!!!
Outstanding coaching and an a outstanding facility. Can’t speak highly enough about both
Great opportunity for younger kids to be able to play in a league type golf game but also be able to compete.
