Great opportunity for kids to learn the game and having other kids makes it fun and not intimidating.
Great PGA Pro coach (Ali) and we'll run program. Son had a lot of fun!
It has been a great experience, from the coaches, to the play with other kids, to the benefits throughout the year - its been an amazing introduction to golf for our son.
Great program for younger golfers to learn rules, sportsmanship and etiquette. It also gives older players a chance to mentor!
The staff at Racebrook cc. They were great with the kids and also had tremendous patience.. our son grew as a golfer and became much more comfortable competing .. we have recommended this program to others who had interest in exposing their child to golf but was unsure of how to proceed in doing so..
Kids get to learn the game and have fun with their friends, while being able to compete in a format that doesn't put too much pressure on an individual who is just learning the game.
We enjoyed how the children are treated so well!
We had a great team and great coaching!
I enjoyed to competition and feel of it being a "real sport". The kids learned a lot about golf, but also being a team player and honor.
The matches are organized and allow the payers to develop their skill and knowledge of the game regardless of their level.
I like that it is a great entry point into competing in golf with a team. It takes off the pressure of the younger golfers. They prefer scramble over alternate shot because then each player gets a chance at each shot and a learning opportunity. The team aspect is great with the matching jerseys and cheering on teammates.
This program is very helpful for my kids to stay engaged. The program gradually introduces them to competitive golf. Also, they made some new friends.
The team atmosphere, competitive but fun, and great coach (Bobby Brown)!
Great instruction, well run, and my son absolutely loved it!
Love this League ! I am so glad my family discovered it this year! We hope to be a part of it for many years to come
The Timberlin league was very well run
My son started from scratch, never holding a club before but felt welcomed from his first day. He likes the coaches and continued to improve and didn't have anxiety about "not being good enough."
The kids had a lot of fun and there were many fun ways to teach the children
The coaching
Introducing the kids to formal play and etiquette. Love the uniforms and instruction by the pro.
The coaches are very invested in each player
Portland West and Gerry are great with the kids. Learning and having fun is key.
My son enjoys it! The location, the folks, it’s great!!
I love the pairing of the older and younger kids. My son who is younger learned a lot from the older kid and looked up to the older kid.
It’s a nice format with a little instruction, a little competition but not “over-the-top” competitive.
It's a great introduction to golf tournament and play with a PGA instructor. My son enjoyed the group/team aspect and competitions
My son absolutely loves it. Great format and is always fun!
It is a fun way for kids of all skill levels and experience learn the game. Although there are matches, the overall vibe is supportive of all kids doing their best.
It encourages golfers to support one another and build relationships in a sport that can feel isolated at times.

My daughter has been participating for 4+ sessions over the last two years. The program overall is great but am disappointed that weekly practice was stopped after a week. I believe we paid the same price as other sessions and the kids were just playing matches. I would also like to see the coaches walking through matches to help the kids with some of the basic rules. My daughter is 13 and during match play is grounding here club in sand traps and while I don't say anything during the match I am concerned about the missed coaching opportunity just as an example. I am not saying the coaches should catch everything. Thank you for the opportunity the junior PGA provides my daughter.
