What do you like about PGA Jr. League?

Everything was great. The only thing that would be better is maybe there is a full schedule that is available for the tournament play at the end of the season. where sectionals are, how far you can go. etc.

What do you like about PGA Jr. League?

Great way to introduce the rules and etiquette of golf without me (his Dad) on the course. My son participated in the PGA Jr. League at Hopmeadow Country Club in Simsbury CT and Jenny, one of the pro's, who runs the program deserves credit for making it such a fun and productive program.

What do you like about PGA Jr. League?

Great way for kids to develop skills, have fun, meet other children, and cultivate health and wellbeing. The app is phenomenal—great for parents to keep track of events, meet and message the pros and other parents. I wish we used it all the time, not just in the Summer for camp

What do you like about PGA Jr. League?

The focus is on making it fun! My kids love that their instructors are young females that they can look up to. It’s a great way to introduce the basic skills and put them to use on the course when there’s no pressure.

What do you like about PGA Jr. League?

The scramble and team format is excellent for taking the pressure off developing players. They can celebrate success when they hit a great shot and not feel like the round is wrecked when they hit a bad one. This keeps you coming back for more. However, without the additional value provided by extra all star play days, the cost is a bit steep. And the fees for the regional tournament were also quite expensive. I understand coaches, organizers, and courses need to be compensated, but developing the next generation of players to keep those courses full in coming years should be the primary goal. Not filling peoples pockets now.

What do you like about PGA Jr. League?

What a wonderful experience my son had playing PGA Jr at Cold Springs in Belchertown, Ma with Coach David Wright and Frankie. He loved the Spring session and joined the summer session and even got a friend to join as well. They had an awesome time learning and playing. Coach Dave and Frankie did a great job encouraging and coaching the proper technique of golf. My son is very much looking forward to next Spring and hopefully get out there a couple more times this year.

The coaching staff is great! They provide individual instruction to the students and work on technique as needed. More importantly, they teach the kids etiquette, along with the rules of the game. They also promote good sportsmanship and do it in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.

What do you like about PGA Jr. League?

The jr league is wonderful but the drive chip and putt needs a little tweak I believe. I don't get how the first two rounds the greens were public style and when you get to the third to get into Agusta they run very very fast. Not all the kids that make it that far have a luxury to practice on private courses greens. I'm beginning to think only kids that come from private courses have the advantage over the ones that play or practice on public courses. No one ever knows what the Stimp is on those greens curious to know why

What do you like about PGA Jr. League?

It’s a great program for the kids. Our coach Gerry D’Amora is absolutely fantastic with the kids. He teaches them swing techniques, rules of the game and most importantly respect. Respect each other, and yourself. It’s not just about golf.
