We like that it allows our children to play an individual sport with a team. It also helps the younger children to learn the etiquette of golf and also encourages the older children to be leaders to, and have patience with, the younger children.
I like the organized practices and games for my children and the coach at Pine Hollow, Johnny Scott is wonderful. I do not like being forced to buy new PGA Jr. League shirts and hats every year. They barely get worn and are a waste of money. Otherwise it is a wonderful program.
My daughter has been participating in PGA Junior League since she was younger. Being in PGA league gave her a low pressure environment to compete and confidence to speak up and work with her teammates in order to navigate their way through play. I will always recommend PGA training league to juniors who are starting out and to juniors who may be advanced, but still need a space to really enjoy the game.
Our 3rd year being apart of the program at Tanglewood, under the direction of Daniel Byrd. What a fun program, and great experience for all the kids.
It is a great way for kids to begin competing with less stress and more fun.

It is an excellent program for young golfers. Chris is great coach. The only thing I would change is lesson the amount of players or put them in 2 groups so that each kid gets more instructional time.
The coaches are very knowledgeable and communicative. My children lived every minute of their season!
