The comraderie, learning the game on familiar courses and learning the game with friends, it’s very organized and gives the kids a sense of accomplishment and competition even if they’re not great. I just wish they could play through their 18th year since they are still in high school. My kids, the grandparents and parents have loved it. I even got a little misty during my son’s last putt and handshake with the other team. He likely never would have played had it not been for PGA Jr. A great program!

I thought the format was good, great exposure for the kids. It seemed it was more geared towards playing. Which is fine, although I feel at their age some course management guidance could help them think through situational game play. I would sign my child up again. The distance for us was a little tough given work schedules but that is no reflection on the league or the sponsor. Everyone was courteous, helpful, great with the kids and I saw my child mature through this experience. Thanks to all of the coaches and the country club for sponsoring this and making it possible for my child to participate.
I love that youth can experience a no pressure season while they learn in a team environment. The app was pretty user friendly and communication was easy.
The coaches are fantastic and it is a great place for kids to grow their golf game and socially.

Good balance of giving the kids the opportunity to play, while still leaving the foundations, rules, and etiquette of the game.
Everything, the communication, the scheduling, the environment, all of the coaches and coach Chris was very professional and very organized. Definitely one of the best sporting programs I've personally ever been apart of.

The coach for our program, Brian Diamond from Atkinson CC has made all the difference in my daughter wanting to be a part of this program. He is patient with both the children AND the parents! His knowledge and skill set him apart from other coaches in our area.

We loved the laid back, low stakes format of the matches. Coach Dan was very helpful during lessons and paired our daughter up incredibly well each week.
We love the coaches most of all. Their support has meant the world to our son. The JGC facility in Brooklyn is fantastic and his teammates supportive. We feel very lucky to have found the PGA Jr team at the JGC.
Our club did a great job last season. The kids had a lot of fun and it was rewarding to see their growth, both mentally and physically.

I know not every PGA junior league is the same but ours at Tanglewood in North Carolina run by Daniel Byrd is absolutely incredible. His dedication to these kids, his organization, his skill and experience and leadership with these kids is absolutely incredible and I am proud to have been affiliated with it for over five years.
