Very beginner friendly. Coach Garrett was great with the kids.
We LOVE it. It's a great way to learn the game while hanging with your friends.
Everything. It was a great experience and my kids learned ALOT about golf.
The PGA Jr. League has been a wonderful experience for my son First name removed. He has not only gained more playing time and instruction, but has also enjoyed playing with kids of varying skill levels, which fosters teamwork. The program is incredibly organized and well-run. I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested. Thank you!
Competitive without being high pressure. Great intro to competition.
Making Golf a team sport for the kids was everything. Golf can be intimidating for kids, but knowing they have a partner relieves a lot of stress and helps them learn to cheer others on.
The coaches were so patient with our son who was just beginning his golf journey!
The league is very well run and provides a nice platform for junior golfers to compete and apply their skills to the course.
Gives kids a great entry level view into the world of golf. The team aspect is beneficial to get the kids bought in by being able to play as a team. Great coaching and support from the course pro!
Tim is a wonderful coach and he always makes time for the children. He works with once a week and then we have 4 matches with another team. He is the most dedicated coach I’ve seen in this area.
Great opportunity for kids who like golf to learn more skills, grow those skills, and to make lasting friendships.
That it is portable to many courses
My son loved it. Was a fun experience. The only feedback is to add more practice round during the week before tournament.
Great pros at our club and atmosphere
It provides the kids an opportunity to grown in different areas.
The PGA Junior League at Almaden Golf and Country Club is outstanding. It is run by people who truly care about bringing the next generation of golfers to the game. Our son joined when he was six years old and he has grown to love the sport.
Really well run and my child had a ton of fun
My kid loved it! He is already talking about wanting to play next year! He learned a lot from the coaches.
PGA Jr. was incredible, and Chad Spencer was the best coach
Instruction / intro to game.
Schedule
Friendship building.
The format is good for younger kids, and helps develop camaraderie. Also allows them to compete without getting too frustrated when they don't make a great shot.
Gives kids experience on the course. Scramble format gives them more chance for success. Teammates help with shot selection and strategy.
The format seems to encourage learning, but also a sense of what playing and competition (i.e. the shirts, match play, etc.) is about in a fun way as the kids don't appear to get discouraged but rather look forward to playing again.

Its a fun format for the kids to learn golf.
