It’s a great way for kids to get over the anxiety golf can cause. The 2 man scramble format keeps the pace of play and keeps kids in the game even if it’s not their best day.
Great format. Great coaches.
Was a great way to start tournaments without the stress/pressure of an 18-hole course.
Kids playing with kids without hovering parents.
We love being part of this golf organization. Love to watch our boy learn and progress in something he loves. The coaches are amazing. We also enjoy meeting other families and players.
Excellent coaching! My daughter learned to play ready golf in a stress free, yet competitive environment. We were very impressed with our experience.
Jeff Mullican at Pheasant Run makes the PGA junior league a fun and positive learning experience by having the matches be a scramble format. My daughter progressed significantly this summer during the season which gave her confidence going into high school.
We love it. It provides a safe and comfortable place for our kids to learn all about golf and practice with coaches.

The Jr. PGA program is an incredible opportunity for kids to learn and grow through the game of golf. With the support of the PGA, it helps make the program more accessible for families who may not otherwise have the financial means to participate. The staff and instructors are knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely invested in helping each child develop their skills, confidence, and love for the game. It’s a wonderful program that creates opportunities both on and off the course.

Timing: Sunday nights is great.
Courses: getting the chance to play other nice courses is something my son appreciates.
great introduction to the competitive atmosphere for beginning golfers
The opportunity given to players
Excellent program
Opportunity to play and understand a scrimmage. Golf course etiquette. Let the kids have fun and navigate their own game allowing them to decide if they wanted to pursue this sport.
Relaxed environment for my new golfer to learn and get comfortable. I liked that the players were expected to handle their own equipment and manage the game.
My son had a lot of fun learning more about the game and also having an opportunity to compete. I think a lot of his enjoyment was because of the leadership at the Plainfield West location, especially coach Pete and coach Bill. They care about the kids and work hard to help them develop.
We're so happy to have the opportunity to participate in the league.
