The League introduces kids to actually playing golf, not just skills drills. The coaches are amazing.

Structure. Young children today lack structure and this setup and program is unique in that it is highly structured. In a nutshell this structure lends itself to better learning for the kids and more success on the golf course.

The exposure to golf and competition. The scramble is great as many of the participants are nervous or shy leading to poor shots at first. The scramble also seems to keep pace of play reasonable.

Good exposure, experience, and training. Golf is often fairly solitary and this was a good opportunity for our kids to interact with new people while playing.

Scramble format made it fun
I really like how coaches are involved personally during the practice session. They also watch the game, mostly home game, closely and take a note of the individuals. Then during the next practice session they try to give comments on those and make the individual practice and try to correct. It's a really good experience.
It is a great opportunity for my son to play a round with friends, meet new friends, get practice and learn how to compose himself on the course in a low pressure setting.
Number one - the coaches! Changing a predominately individual sport into a team challenge. Encouraging sportsmanship, teamwork, and of course improving the game of golf!

PGA Jr. League fosters healthy competition and collaborative teamwork. My nephew has been enrolled in tte program for several years and he absolutely loves it.
