You can basically come whenever you want to workout and swim
I always use the fitness room and the track and appreciate the quality of the equipment and the facilities. Additionally, I have made some new friends while working out and it is always a pleasure to start the day by seeing them. I would be remiss if I didn't mention how pleasant and helpful the staff are, too.
Exercises for seniors
Everything!
My son loves sports camp, he is sad is over and he has to go back to school.
The excercise classes
The water aerobics and the senior road trips
Loved the sports camp at the YMCA. My son learned more about sports and the details and rules for many different sports. The awards were a big highlight for him to work toward each day.
The care provided is wonderful. My son has grown physically and emotionally over the summer and loves the field trips and activities every week! You don't get that with other summer programs.
Everything is very organized and very well put together.
I like the friendly people who greet us. I am able at 76 to work out on equipment that will keep me going.
Y
Always enjoy our day!!
Everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Y is a great place and I have met a lot of nice friends. Always immaculate and a great facility.
All the camp counselors are great with the kids. They are very concerned with their well-being and make sure the kids have a very positive summer experience!!
Great camp counselors…feel my son is safe throughout day! Impressive activity planning and camp structure!
Great instructors, swimming Gail, Angie, Marcia
Personal trainers Sterling
The leaders and staff are super engaged and enthusiastic, my son had a really fun time and loved the activities they planned. He came home super happy, excited to share his day, and super tired!
Getting the kids off a screen and being extremely active at camp is fantastic. All the counselors are energetic and positive.
The French Creek YMCA is inviting. The people are great the interact with. The facility is solid. What more could you want?
The YMCA promotes the building of strong bodies, mines and personal esteem.
In addition the YMCA provides various outside activities (such as bus trips) that promotes friendships and community building.
I think the only thing I would say is better communication about what the campers need to do for the day/week. For example pajama day I was not informed. Also one day they didn't need to bring a disposable lunch and I had to run home to get an ice pack and lunch box so the food didn't go bad. I was late for work because of this lack of communication. Other than those two things my kids love it.
Camp counselors have been wonderful. Kids have had a blast.
Pickleball
I am a lap swimmer and no longer swim at the Y because the water temperature is too cold for me. If it was raised to 82 I’d be back. I’d love to come back to the Y,
It is evident a lot of time and effort is put into this program to make it successful. Between the various themes across specialty camps, swim days, field trips, activities, games and fun and engaging counselors, my son had nothing but fun and good things to say about his time each day. I appreciate the dedication to learning the core values and teaching kids along the way. Every effort is made to keep kids of the same age together and counselors seem genuinely happy to be apart of the kids day. I greatly appreciate the communication and passion from the Director of the program. Hannah is responsive, flexible and genuinely cares about the kids and success of the program. My son already conveyed he wants to be at the Y next summer for camp. We will be signing up once available.
Kids had fun, Awesome field trip, kids are safe.
I really enjoyed that my child liked going every day. The new themes for the week were fun for them.
The Whirlpool and work out
Room.
The program emphasized positive values and exercise. The counsellors were nice and friendly. Hannah did a great job running the program and communicating with parents. The kids want to be back next year!

I appreciate the Specialty Camp and extended care options. It's great that there are different option for my three boys to be at the same place, but not necessarily in the same program. They enjoy the activities and look forward to being at camp.
