Relaxed environment with qualified stylists that want to give you a great haircut.
Specifically, yesterday I had Christine who gave me a great haircut and conversation. This was a particularly impressive cut considering she was berated by a guest minutes before. She asked the customer where he would like the cut to stop (assuming she meant how far up his head he wanted the shorter cut to go before trimming the top) as the notes from the system were not specific. She wanted to ensure that the customer had the cut he wanted and would be satisfied with his experience - that’s customer service. This guest (Edward P - I only know as his name was on the board when I arrived and I remembered it) was upset that she asked and was confused as “he’d been coming to that place for 20 years and has never been asked. You’re the stylist, I don’t know…just cut my hair and stop asking me questions.” As Christine apologized and explained why she was asking, his tone and rudeness escalated to the point that he requested another stylist to finish up his cut. Christine was visibly shaken (rightly so) as she called me to her chair. Even through that unwarranted and uncalled for verbal assault, she remained professional and apologetic to the customer and then recentered and gave me a great experience.
I hope that this message finds the right audience as an impartial account as I imagine you will also get an account from Edward P complaining about the service received…contrary to the saying, the customer is NOT always right and in this instance his perception of the questions being asked and, more importantly, the way he handled himself were both incorrect and despicable. I have been going to the same stylist (Shanna) every 6-8 weeks for over three years. The quality of the cut is consistent. It has been 'correct' (what I wanted) since the first visit. Just as important, my wife has not criticized the cut. Not only have I been seeing her all this time...I make it a point to be there at opening to get a spot in her chair. If I cannot, I come back another day.
I also use a couple of products she has recommended.

Alisha was wonderful! My son is 29 with special needs and she was kind and patient. She engaged with him genuinely and did a fantastic job on his haircut!!
Alex did a fabulous job with cutting my hair. All I did was show a photo of what I wanted and she knew exactly what I needed. Whenever I had questions of whether or not cutting it a certain way would make it better or worse, she always made good judgement calls and as a result, my haircut was done perfectly!
