Family oriented. Great, friendly staff.
I enjoy the Silver Sneakers classes!
I like the instructors! They are very professional and do an excellent job.
Only use the pool. In winter, the water is usually too cold to swim comfortably.
Suggestions for the ladies locker room:
Keep wall clock working properly
Increase number of “large” changing stalls - those of us with disabilities need more room to manipulate around. Also, families are using them
Increase size of benches in the regular changing stalls & increase the size of the stalls - as you move around, you are constantly moving the curtain therefore exposing yourself to others
Enforce handicap parking - too many “unauthorized” users parking there (no placard nor license plate);
Fair programs , nice people and great sportsmanship.
Everything!
I like the swim programs. Exercise is always a good idea.
Wonderful!
Friendly staff, great location, great equipment. Only wish it were bigger. It's getting too crowded because the Lake Houston Y is so popular.
A great variety of programs for all ages. I’m 74 and appreciate that there are several programs for older adults of all fitness levels.
Variety and availability. Great instructors. Clean facility.
I like the facilities and availability for pickle ball and Mah Jongg.
Still would like a wider time range of activites.
Most cls activities between 9:30 and 12 mwf and not much on t, thr.
Pool water to cool for many seniors.
Most special activites are planned 11-12, but not much after cls. times regardless of days.
Overall, I realize y can not plz. everyone and I very happy with most days.
We joined to have activities for the whole family and it is working well... thank you!
Love the virtual exercise classes, great facilities and helpful staff
Group exercise classes
Everything! Always great group exercises, AOA actives, and very helpful employees.
New facility great equipment
I am an early swimmer....I like that the lifeguards are always on time so I can start promptly at 5
Pros:
Variety of classes
Clean and new facility
Great staff
Paper towels and spray are always stocked
Cons:
Space is very limited in the open area upstairs in front of the mirror. There just appears to be too many machines/items (tire, ab bench, boxes, etc). *my major complaint
No music playing
Not enough in-person class times
Virtual classes
I love the water exercise and water Zumba, wish the classes were 1 hour long instead of 45 minutes. Why aren’t they?
I only take part in the private trainer and nutrition classes now. Love it. I have also taken part in the senior yoga classes and swimming.
Great place !
We love the YMCA community and really enjoyed our first basketball season. My son learned a ton and had fun doing so. I would definitely recommend it to a friend.
This was the best year I have been associated with. Basketball was organized well. 8 and9 year olds were brought along slowly but completely getting introduced to a neither level of rules.
Coach B coached my sons basketball team and he was amazing! Also great refs! Nice reasonable schedule.
Outstanding coordination from the athletic director Andrew Sommella. Better Y volunteer coaches and refs than in the past as well. It added up to a great sports experience for our kids, which is what it’s all about.
Comfortable
Coaches and the rules made the sport enjoyable for my son.
The Coach , work very well with the children.

Variety and times available. Informed desk staff and feeling of acceptance just being in the building and on my way to health. Very encouraging.
