Love silver sneakers program.
Pool
I love your water aerobics.
Childcare, cleanliness, variety of machines and classes, and indoor pool.
There is such a diversity (of ages, races, and ability) of the members, that it makes me feel comfortable and motivated.
I like that the programs are always going on. No matter what time of day I have available there is always a class, even if it's a virtual class.
The instructors have been nice, welcoming, and helpful.
I'm appreciative of the updates you've made and how you've opened the additional exercise rooms throughout the day.
Staff engagement
The variety of classes and equipment.
I haven’t had the opportunity to utilize the activities yet. However, the facility and the staff are amazing!
All
Staff, exercise equipment, Maria, Tim in equipment area. Cleanliness. Equipment gets repaired. Good schedule of classes.
I love the pool exercise, and I love the convenience of how close it is to my house
Serves the whole diverse community. All ages and abilities. Warm welcome, nicely kept facilities. Genuine support for health and well-being over superficial focus on “losing weight” and “looking better” etc ... Values based organization and it’s evident that the Lake Houston Y values real people living real lives healthily and happily. Great Y.
Childcare program and swimming lessons
The variety of programs, the schedules, the instructors. Everyone seems very knowledgeable and friendly.
Great facility. Clean and great equipment
I've been for years enjoying the weights room where there are always equipment available for the routine exercise that one of the Y staff recommended for me. Definitely the right place to burn calories and keep my weight in check. Thanks a lot "Y" for helping and promoting a healthy life style for me and the people in my neighborhood.
Something for everyone!
The programs are diverse, for all age groups
Very good staff
Ambiance of entire Y is excellent.
Active older adult program run by Ginger Swallow excellent.
Suggestions:
When you have a concern some phones don't work on your system. Would suggest a paper back up.
The locker rooms both men and women need anti slip runners especially through shower area where people walk from pool to lockers. I have witnessed falls due to water on floors. Prevent falls best practice suggested. West Austin is good example of anti slip runners in locker rooms.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. they are helpful to us senior citzens
Atmosphere, cleanliness, staff are very helpful. It has a comfortable feeling when I'm there working out.
I love the new building, the amount of classes. the comfort of the new place.
The only complaint that I have about the facility is that it doesn't have a walking track. Otherwise, I love this facility.
It is a great facility. With my bad back and neck, I can only do the stationary bike, but they are really nice, and I enjoy watching the runners in front of me!!! As I have allergies, exercising indoors is the way to go for me. I can watch TV, use the fan accessory , listen to music or read. What could be any better???
I love Seniorsize classes! The fact is they are way too crowded. We either need more times or a bigger space. It gets warm in there. I met a new person trying the Y out this past week and after the class she said she had been to two seniorsize classes and they were just not enjoyable due to crowding. The MWF at 10:45 is just crazy. We ran out of floor mats on Monday. The Tuesday/Thursday is in a bigger space but is wall to wall with equipment. The instructor is awesome. Love Elfie.
All of the machines are functional and we are able to use earphones to watch TV programs or movies.
Great exercise equipment, pool.
workout equipment
i like the y's workout machines and area better then other gyms.

More than enough for everyone at every level with the capacity and willingness to consider new ideas. Leadership and trainers/instructors are the best!
