I continue to enjoy John Dalton's classes. He is reliable, cheerful, motivated, and an excellent teacher. My classmates are from all over the world. Many of them are retired healthcare workers and teachers. Everyone is friendly and welcoming.
The only ongoing problem I am experiencing is that of a classmate, Dr. Nancy Pomery, who has become increasingly incapable of self care. In the last year, she has had two car wrecks, accidentally killed her dog by leaving him in a hot car for hours, worn clothing soiled with feces and urine, and repeatly lost personal items, such as car keys. She has a progressive muscular disorder with symptoms that resemble those of Parkinson's disease.
Her family lives in Minnesota: I was able to contact her brother, a retired veterinarian. He refused to assume any responsibility for her care. I have strongly suggested she consider moving to an assisted care facility.
I have discussed this Nancy's situation with Elena Dinkin. Apparently, there's nothing she can do. I would greatly appreciate any advice any of your professional staff is willing to offer. At this point, I think my only option is to call Adult Protective Services; however, I'm reluctant to do so. Name removed, Phone number removed, Email address removed

I’m enjoying a lot of senior classes available and all the activities. Just experienced going to the dancing with the silver stars program and really enjoyed it so much. Specifically our y won a second place. Camp Cullen trip I have been there twice and planning to go again. Staff are very friendly and helpful whenever you need them.made a lot of friends there. Y my second home because I spent half of my day working out and I love it.

I love the senior exercise classes. I wish there were more stretch classes. The instructors are really great especially Shavon. The staff is friendly and helpful. I really enjoy going to the Weekely YMCA.

Your Group X classes and ESPECIALLY the mat pilotes class taught by Ellen Goren on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She is the best.
I like the variety of classes that are offered.
Forever Well and Silver Sneakers. LOVE the classes led by Noha and Shavon. I also like Shavon’s water aerobics - but sometimes challenging to access.

I come in mainly to use the gym. I like the machines that I use on a regular basis although I wish the rowing machines were newer.
Variety of opportunities
At this time I only use the 2nd fl treadmill, handweights and rows in the afternoons.
I also enjoy the socialization with fellow babyboomers.
