It’s my ‘feel good, safe place’. The YMCA offers classes I enjoy, equipment workout area and social interaction with like minded people that care about doing something to stay healthy.

The staff at the check-in desk is so friendly and helpful!! Julie, Jerry, and the others always welcome you with a smile! There are a variety of classes to choose; something for everyone! I take the arthritis and low impact classes every day Monday through Friday. It is good for my health and gives me so much pleasure! Jill, Margaret, and Michelle are wonderful instructors! The building is kept bright and clean! I met Lisa who is one of the cleaners; such a nice lady! There’s a young man in the children’s center where my grandsons go. I don’t know his name but so friendly! It’s a great place to be!
Even though I live in Louisville, I most often work out at the New Albany Y. From my perspective, the Y in New Albany is the nicest Y in the metro area. I really like the therapy pool after a workout session. The staff are friendly and helpful, the facility is clean and I’ve met really nice people there.

I love this YMCA! It's always clean, plenty of employees, and they all care and use our names which is awesome! I feel welcomed there and not like a bother.
Currently, I only participate in the aquatic class, which I love. I feel like I get a great workout with Nancy (which is the class I attend). I do love Tonya's fun personality too.
What a wonderful way to start your morning when you are greeted by the cheerful smiling Jerry when you check in. What an asset he is to the YMCA.
