My kids (8 and 10) just finished their first round of swim lessons, and I’ve really appreciated the care and genuine interest their instructor (Brady) showed throughout. They were both nervous in water, but he encouraged them again and again to do what was needed to learn the skills. I think in our day there are too many instructors (of various kinds) who see kids hesitant to step outside their comfort zones and just let them stay where they are, not learning or achieving anything. It seems like the swim instruction at the YMCA instead really pushes kids to get out of their comfort zones for their own good, which is really encouraging to me.

Nice selection of facilities and classes. However, the cleanliness around the pools hasmuch to be desired and some of the classes need to have numbers limited for lack of space and equipment in the pools. Needed additional pool noodles and weights or else limit number allowed in classes.

The lap lanes in the aquatic center. I am glad that we have reservations & wish that those swimmers that make reservations and do NOT SHOW UP for their reservations were not allowed to make any more reservations. The lifeguards are excellent in their jobs, 3 of those are Greg, Levin, and Sam - your best!
The fitness center is good too & I am glad to usually always get a machine when I am there to workout. THANKS FOR THIS GREAT YMCA in Clark County, Jeffersonville, Indiana.
