The amenities at the downtown YMCA are second to none in the Louisville Metro area. My list would include the convenient parking lot, secure facility, locker rooms with individual private lockers, a wide range of Cybex weight equipment, an extensive collection of traditional weight lifting equipment, a vast array of cardio machines equipped with individual TV screens, indoor pool, spin class room, individual fitness trainers and many group led fitness classes, sauna, steam room, laundry service, need I say more. When the new Jewish Community Center opened recently, I toured it to see if I might want to switch gyms. It is a really nice facility as well; but still does not have everything that the downtown YMCA has to offer.

The people are very friendly, and there are plenty of machines to use. I have a special needs son and there’s plenty of room for me to maneuver him in the workout room.

It is a really nice facility, and most people are very conscientious about keeping the equipment sanitized after use. I really appreciate Jonathon very much because he always has a welcoming and happy disposition, and he always has the gym open on time in the morning. He's the best!

There are so many different areas to work out in and classes that fit my busy schedule. I am never bored! Seeing familiar faces provides a real sense of community. Everyone is friendly and unpretentious. I love my Y!!
