I loved receiving a 20% “we miss you coupon”. That was brilliant in getting me engaged with your business again.
Providing coupons for full price items only during holiday weekends would be awesome. I know margins can be tight being a local brick and mortar business but personally I would love that. Cycling is not cheap so I will go where I can get the best price. Having said that, if I knew there would be a 15% off full priced item on Memorial Day weekend I would hold off from buying from Competitive Cyclist and give you the business. Honestly, I wanna give you the business every single time but my wallet dictates where I can purchase unfortunately.

The woman who helped me was knowledgeable and attentive and I did not feel “upsold” on additional fixes/ tune-ups at the rack. The repair was reasonably priced and completed within the estimated time.

Usually prompt service and fair price, however, on this occasion I was disappointed with the lack of communication. I dropped off my rear wheel on April 28. I stood in line at service for at least 45 minutes before being helped. Staff people did apologize for the wait. I was told I would get a call on Tuesday. That didn't happen so I called late in the day, the staff person said she would talk to the service manager and I would get a call Wednesday morning. That didn't happen so I called late in the day and was told I would hear first thing Thursday morning. By this time I was losing my patience so I called first thing Thursday morning and shared my frustration with Sean (Shawn?). He promised to investigate and he got back to me a few hours later with an update. I picked up the new wheel late that afternoon and introduced myself to Sean. I thanked him for his assistance; he understood why I was frustrated. Prompt communication to me would have made for a better service experience.
