Great staff. Enjoy the trainers that work with us on games and events. Weight rooms are not crowded. Excellent communications regarding upcoming activities and events.
As an older senior, I really enjoy the Mon. Wed. Water Aerobics and the Fri. Silver Sneakers Circuit. All of the Staff are nice and friendly.

I’ve been a member of the ymca for a long time. I enjoy the variety of equipment! However, the lack of
The equipment getting serviced on a timely basis is a major problem. Some of these equipments cannot be used for months at time! I truly hope that this issue can be addressed ASAP!

The staff are very helpful and encouraging. The facility is always spotless and they involve their community and want to help everyone sit.

Exercise classes, walking track, pool and machines
All inclusive!
I love walking 1 hour in the walking/resistance pool, water aerobics class, the teacher’s are awesome, the lifeguards are efficient and friendly, the facility is top notch, and I love the friends that I’ve made. I just moved to Bedford October 1 to a 55 + Retirement Home to be closer to my children and grandchildren. I live 5 minutes from the YMCA. I took a tour of the facility the first week I was here and joined that day. ❤️
You have many options on what you want to do at the Y.
lots of options for all ages
friendly workers
BUT - when something breaks, or is not functioning properly, it seems nobody cares enough to take prompt action to resolve the issue. Examples are: broken locker hinges in men's locker room; spinning dryers that are constantly out of service; sidewalks and entry areas that are filthy and covered with trash and leaves; pool walls covered with mildew/mold; uneven temperatures in locker rooms (no heat when it is cold). This is a first-class facility but it is not maintained well.
This month is my wife’s and my 1 year anniversary at the Northwest YMCA, and what a fantastic year it’s been.
Everyone, and I mean everyone, working there is incredibly helpful and inviting. From Arturo checking us in first thing in the morning for our cycling class, to the friendly “see you tomorrow” when we leave. There are a few folks we’d like to call out as we’ve spent much time with them this year.
Donna: She is a machine! Her humor and motivation in her Cycling, Young at Heart and Silver Sneakers makes us not want to miss a day of her classes. Her commitment to the various AOA activities is also inspirational and very much appreciated.
Carol: We also LOVE to attend Carol’s Gentle Yoga and Summer Swim Classes. Again, she adds a good mix of humor and motivation to keep us coming back to her classes.
Crystal: We recently signed up for Personal Training sessions with Crystal. What a fantastic person she is. Like Donna and Carol, she’s friendly, humorous and motivational which keep us on track to reaching our health goals. She pushes us to do more, but is great with checking in to make sure we’re not over-doing things. Her knowledge of the body is awesome!
Another important thing we’ve noticed at the YMCA is the camaraderie the instructors and staff have helped build within the members themselves. The first time we stepped into a class we were greeted by longtime members who were not only welcoming, but also helpful in getting us set up with the right equipment for the class. People check in on one another and are concerned if someone misses more than a couple of classes. We can see the many friendships that have been built here, which is also a motivation for folks to keep coming back and stay active. This really shows the community built by your staff and organization.
Thank you for the opportunity to share my thoughts and experiences with you. Keep up the great work and look for us to happily continue to come in for years to come.
Benbrook YMCA has a warm family feeling from the moment you walk in. Everyone is friendly, from the staff behind the desk to the people you pass as you go to exercise. I'm a big fan of pickleball, and they have a very active program with lots of friendly people to meet. For newcomers, there are lessons to get you started and learn how much fun that sport can be.
The EGYM and pickleball.
Need more intermediate yoga classes at 8:15 am. Not 10:45 am - too late! Ruins attendance at that time.
Need more aerobic classes in the time period 8:15 - 10:30 am.
I love the line dance class . The entire staff at the YMCA is very friendly and helpful .
I structure are great. Temp of water is perfect t. Thank you
I don’t use any programs, just the fitness equipment.
The employees are very friendly and helpful. The people that go there are friendly and that is a result of them being treated well. IT IS GOOD TO HAVE YMCA IN HOOD COUNTY.
Variety of classes!
Really like Jay's Thai chi class!

We're always greeted warmly at the front desk! Hubby loves the workout area on the top floor and the machines on the 2nd floor. I walk laps in the resistance pool.
