Our experience with the Ryan Family YMCA Summer Camp (@ JA Hargrave Elementary) has been truly positive. I especially appreciated the weekly swimming sessions and field trips, which added variety and excitement to my son’s summer. The staff was always friendly and welcoming, and my son seemed to genuinely enjoy his time at camp.
I’d like to extend a special thank you to Andrew Pettis for his consistent communication. His emails kept me informed of upcoming activities and helped me stay engaged with what was happening at camp. I also appreciated seeing his active presence at YMCA events like Food Truck Mondays and the Safety Around Water lessons after camp hours. It meant a lot to see him greet my son, Orion, at these events. It truly showed a level of care and community connection that I value as a parent.

Staff is definitely very attentive and they care. and all the activities my kid has been so happy she wants to go to Camp every day
My daughter did great in the private lessons, she had a great instructor that was patient and gave her so much confidence in swimming.
Everything with Bedford YMCA camp has always been very nice and an easy set up for my family to accommodate. My son likes being able to swim twice a week, do crafts and go on the weekly field trips. This camp definitely provides the most value for the money you spend compared to others in the area. This was our second year to attend and he has already said he wants to return next summer! Thank you for offering this!
In addition to learning how to swim, and about water safety; the swim lessons helped to my child to be more confident in the pool, enhance his socialization and communication skills.
First year to attend Camp Carter and it was his favorite camp all summer! He loved that it was a set up like a real summer camp with the water activities, ropes course, etc. I didn't get to see any photos of his time at camp which was the only downside, but I know he had a great time. Staff were always extremely nice and courteous at pick up/drop off. My son hopes to come back next year and try the overnight camp out! Thanks for offering this camp to the kids!

The Day camp helps promotes socialization and communication for my child as well as creative activities.
There's a variety to choose from. As a parent, I appreciate the hard work and dedication that is put into the programs.

Professionally managed and run
I've being in many Gyms and this one is our family perfect one. We just got this one just because our grand kids for a summer and we are here for two years, jajaja. Classes, pool, etc are the best, that's what we enjoy. Every employee is so friendly and cares about you.

i love to walk at the YMCA in Bedford, Texas, as much as possible. The building is clean, and the service is friendly. The walking track is easy to navigate. I am 75 years old and theYMCA helps to be able to walk as much as possible.
We love your lifeguards-they are funny, sweet, and so kind to the kids.

Great family environment
Mr Seth taught my 3 year old swimming skills that she had been able to easily implement and begin swimming on her own safely and confidently. He knows how to communicate with the kids who are learning and keep them engaged. Please recognize him for his professionalism and consistency!
My 5 year old loved being outside most of the day at camp Carter. He talked a lot about searching for Bigfoot!
